Jermall Charlo got exposed big time

brook is not elite....he has done nothing in his career except beat shaun porter...he is a good puncher but does not have elite skillz

lara has elite skillz

pirog had elite skillz but suffered from back injury

 

Your kidding right? MK had ONE fight in TWO years against a club fighter .
9 months latter at the age of 35 he takes a bout on short notice and boxes Charlos ears off.
i dont care how "slick" MK was .Hes 35 and coming off ONE fight in two years .If Charlo was anything near what they make him out to be he should have stopped Mk.

 

Korobov is a smooth operator, not surprised how well he did against Charlo. Anybody with a good boxing IQ knew korobov was a better matchup than Monroe.

 

maybe I should rewatch this but I'm surprised at the amount of people scoring for korobov. are they scoring based on expectations and dislike of charlo? I saw the fight at the bar no one thought charlo lost, seemed like a competitive but definite charlo win.

I try not to hold last minute southpaw replacements against guys. Charlo did remind me of Wilder the way he winds back that right hand and telegraphs it

 

I know and it’s mad how quickly perceptions change as everyone saying he gets beat by Golovkin,Canelo,Jacobs but I’ve not heard em mention Andrade a guy he most likely avoided at 154,I say most likely as Andrade was gonna fight Saunders and was well up for it.
Then,going off how bad he lost(according to some)we have some great 2nd tier guy like Derevchenko,Brandt?Murata and even Rosado or a fight with Vanes who certainly showed one of those up.

His performance Going off CST80s scorecard give or take a round or two was not just ordinary or a bad day it was a loss really wasn’t it?
I don’t actually believe he’s this bad but I do think he’s overdone powdering his beak,running round backstage at fights and just acts like a total noob with all that Young Lions ****.

Say what you want about Tweedlemall and Tweedlemell but they do put on good fights.

 

Probably explains the explosive power,when he times it nicely like that KO of that other high ranked guy at 154;was Williams or something,that KO was and still amazes me as was so smooth n fast.

 

Course everyone has bad days(reason I have so much respect for Floyd)going of the general consensus on here Charlo didn’t just have an off day,sounds like he lost more rounds than Korobov.
In short a loss is a loss and its BS how the better guy gets done over and the A side gets to fight another day with zero intact.

 

I think loads thought this but it was off the eye test,rest of it was just a guess and probably a wrong one.

Jacobs seems to bring it on the big fights and could look poor against poor opposition,Jacobs is a master of boxing to the opponent which is a great skill,he would do something different to Canelo than Golovkin imo.

 

If you gonna do the Chris Eubank thing then you better be good in the ring,Tweedle brothers with matching “Young Lion”masks and Goodness knows what else,need to get themselves back to being hungry and if you keep playing out with Broner you could lose long before you reach Broner fame.

 

I know a lot of people in the prediction thread had Jermall Charlo as their pick for winning the fight. Only CST picked Korobov and most people in the RBR scored the fight for Korobov or a draw. I don't think it was hate for Charlo. If anything, people should have been biased for Charlo not against him.

I'm not sure how you think Charlo clearly won the fight, he was eating straight left hands the entire fight. He was missing a lot of his shots too early on (caught Korobov a bit more in the later rounds). Still I think Charlo lost or it was a draw at worst. Maybe you can find a one point victory if you scored the 12th 10-8, which I don't really agree with.

 

Two strong trends on this board are hating the Charlo’s and loving anyone from former Soviet territory.

 

It's one thing if it were all coming from the usual suspects, but I'm also seeing a lot of people who don't fall in to either category thinking Korobov got jobbed.

I can pretty much figure how each fanbase will vote so the core either for or against Charlo is pretty constant, but the swing voters seem to have went more for MK. Not that that's worth anything, just what I've seen.

 

And here we go again with the us vs them attitude. Get a grip.
