Tunney. Think of him as smarter than Jimmy Young with self-discipline and a wallop.
    Walcott. Tricky and dangerous.
    Holmes. Just better.
    Lewis. Just better.
Tyson Fury. Overwhelming size and ability to do it.
    Prime Frazier.
    Norton.

OK but that included Ali somewhat blinded by the foreign substance on Liston's gloves.

I do not think Holmes & Lewis are better than Ali.
Frazier against peak Ali, the odds are stacked against him. He would be less rusty & not tire in the later rounds like the FOTC.
Norton needed Ali to have something off his peak form, especially foot speed, to edge Ali.
Tunney & Walcott-I do not think any shorter & lighter boxer type is likely to beat peak Ali.

I think either an ATG swamer or a very talented huge modern SHW has the best chance.

I'd rate Sugar Ray Leopard ahead of Lion Furuyama, but below D1ck Tiger.

Prime FOTC could do it, but...whatever happened to that beast anyway? He just disappeared into thin air.

Why favor Frazier and Marciano but not Tyson?

The same reason others do the opposite, perception of styles and ability...but for me Frazier and Marciano will bring more pressure the longer the fight goes

Ok, I guess Tyson didn’t usually get more intense as fights progressed. But I think he was more of a problem than Marciano and Frazier in practically every other way.

To outpoint Ali Tyson would have to get to the end of a 15 round fight as well as be ahead on points. We know Frazier is almost certainly good for the distance and Marciano was a proven 15 round fighter.

Many (imo) probably see Tyson wilting later in the fight as Philly alludes to.

Fury might have the best chance. His size, style, and skills would offset some of Ali's biggest advantages.

Did prime Tyson actually have any fights where he got off to a good start but wilted down the stretch?
