I think Korobov was an unknown to a lot of people or they assumed he wasn’t training or was significantly faded due to age. The reality is that he’s a top 10 middle h2h and would probably handle Lemieux or Tureano.
Charlo's and their fans are disgraces. A semi retired, washed up pro who was weight drained takes 8 possibly 9 rounds off the boogie man posed to clean out MW. LOL Both those privileged divas also ducked their VADA tests yet nothing happenens to them. AFAIAK all you people who though Korobov only won 7 rounds are almost as dumb. Those two judges who had it 116-112 should get 10 years in prison and the guy who gave Korobaov only one round should be fed to Zoo animals on prime time TV. Scorecard was every bit as bad as Adelade Byrd's 118-110 against Golovkin and worse than that scumbag who scored 115-111 against Fury. All these agenda laden dirt bags chaiming Charlo won probably have no problems with those other cards I referenced either. So many corrupt trash running this sport and their lap dog, sychophant fans all swimming in the same cess pool, doing their best to ruin this sport.
Guysn what you have to remember is Korobov had a long lay off He was on the undercards in a warm up type fight. One week before the fight he suddenly gets the call to fight in a world title 12 rounder. He'd never gone 12 before. In my opinion he fought a fantastic fight & fully deserved to win WTG Matt Kouobov
Charlo brothers are weight bully bums. Both got exposed hard last week. Golovkin ducking Charlo though!
Korobov was avoided for years. Lost to Lee who while hot and cold could catch anyone on a good night. Takes a short notice fight with Charlo who is a supposed boogieman at MW now and boxes his head off.... Charlo was completely exposed and bailed out by the usual corrupt judging. Boxing is a complete joke at this point.
Closer fight than the scorecards. The problem with Korobov in this fight was SUPERFICIAL STYLE! Charlo's body language in acting like he was winning won him the close rounds on the cards while his opponent did an equal value of work. It's what made calelo get fortunate decisions against ggg. Style in mind as much as substance. Not codoning bad decisions, just providing an explanation all fighters should have in mind as an after thought
Chin or not, it wouldn't be a good idea for Charlo to take those type of flush crosses from Jacobs. Jacobs has more power than Korobov does.
Exposed seems a bit much to me. If you bought the hype, maybe. Jermall (lets see if I mix em' up) won a close fight against a Korobov who may have been recently inactive, but ended up fighting a better fight than any I've seen him in. Seriously, Korobov looked really good in there I thought. I can believe he beat all those guys in the ams now. Jermell suffered a bad decision against a cagey boxer. It happens. I wasn't convinced they were the next coming of Sugar Ray Leonard before these fights. They still don't look like that to me. I still want to see them vs the upper tier of their respective divisions, however.
