I never bash guys for losing to the top and best young fighters. Frampton only lost to Santa Cruz and Warrington.

But he just seemed so deflated after the fight. Like the hunger is just gone.

And his legs weren't quite all the way there like they were a few years ago.

Maybe time to hang them up?

I don't think so. Frampton is quite young and probably in his prime although he had many wars in his career i think he definitely has something left what he can bring to the table in the FWD. He should regroup and come back with 1-2 easier fights and aim for a title shot in late 2019 or early 2020.

You never know how he can deal with the loss after all but i think he should come back stronger.

The smaller guys dont last as long usually.

Did he seem slower than usual to you? He stood and traded more than I expected him to.

You might be right but there are many examples that showing the opposite. Frampton is 31, maybe he hasn't 10 years left but 3-4 easily. He was never knocked out badly or something, so far as i know he was never down as a pro too, obviously he didn't take a lot of punishment although he was involved in some wars i doubt he is empty or something if it comes to the physical condition. The question is if the head can make it. Body should be ready for 3-4 or even 5 more years of boxing on elite world level.

I do not think he looked slow or something, i think Warrington is simply the most improved fighter in 2018. I never rated Warrington that high to be honest but what the guy did in 2018 vs. Selby and Frampton was impressive. Never seen a guy improving like that from one fight to another. Warrington turned into an elite coming forward guy with granite chin, good defense, insane work rate. I am not sure if LSC would beat Warrington right now as LSC looked average in his last fight vs. Mares and also is very inactive recently.

If we'll get Warrington vs. LSC (cracking fight!) i would pick Warrington i think.

It's not just his last fight where we can see evidence of potential decline; he's not really impressed since the first LSC fight. That's five fights ago. The Donaire win was decent but against a boxer even more declined from his peak than Frampton.

I still think he handles Warrington at his peak, although Josh is far better than my eye test gave him credit. Getting hurt by a light puncher is not a great sign either...
