As a big Golovkin fan i can safely say that most of his fans were always over ambitious. Golovkins knockouts come from precision and pressure. Two things a good defensive fighter can neutralize. Which is why I picked Jacobs to take GGG the distance and thought a Canelo Ko unlikely. Despite that I think GGG won and drew in the rematch. His boxing IQ was always underrated.

Brook fight was first time he looked beatable, (yet smashed Kells face in).

Jacobs fight against a giant underrated middleweight, he was pushed close, (yet had Danny gasping on the ropes at the end in delight that he made the final bell, Jacobs only won about 3 clear rounds.)

Canelo 1 robbed and showed an amazing chin and determination.

Canelo 2 in a closer fight GGG came from being outboxed early in the fight taking most rounds in a very disputed contest where over 70% of viewers thought he won.

All of these fights came in his mid to late 30s.

He has won every professional fight as far as I'm concerned.

    ^^^^ :risas3: :wanker

Nothing has been worse than those two quitting like bitches after talking a bunch of crap in the lead up. Keep reaching though! Lol It’s enjoyable.

And GGG is actually 2-0 vs CLENelo. Rigo and Walters weren’t even close to winning

Seriously though, has anyone heard any news about what GGG is up to? Who his next potential opponent will be? When and Where? I'm a little bummed that I can't fill out my boxing calendar for the spring.

Couldn't have put it better myself.

He's still undefeated in my eyes and Canelo has proven that he is potentially an ATG himself with an amazing chin, yet it still wasn't enough to beat GGG legitimately,

Yeah taking nothing away from Canelo. He was quality in both fights, just that he was up against a formidable opponent....who out worked him in both fights.

But you forget to mention that GGG WON both fights.
Only pure corruption got Moonelo a draw & a bogus win

I talked to him only this morning and he mentioned how annoyed he was at letting you down.

Canelo was quality in both fights. He fought two distinct styles and succeeded in neutralizing GGG at both strategies.

GGG outworked Canelo in the first fight, but not in the rematch. Canelo outworked GGG in the rematch. Just because GGG threw more punches doesn't mean he outworked Canelo. Most of those punches were lazy jabs that don't require much energy to throw and weren't all that effective. Canelo was constantly coming forward in the rematch with a relentless assault of power punches. GGG couldn't keep up with Canelo's pace. Canelo was working much harder than GGG in the rematch and that's a big reason why he won.

I love this new notion since GGG Canelo 2 where everyone thinks a jab doesn't hurt and is basically a non points scoring shot.

Ask any boxer, it is the most underrated and effective punch in boxing.

If any fighter is having success with it to the extent GGG does, then it will continue to get used.

I agree sort of but the jab is rarely underated imo, canelo walked trough it most of the time didnt he? That was what actually one of the things that impressed me most. What impressed you most with his jab?(ggg has one of the best jabs imo) do you think it was effective stopping canelo coming forward?

Well yeah to an extent. It didn't look great in terms of eye catching but it was effective. Certainly stopped Canelo coming more forward than he did.
