Is his chin the GOAT? He faced 2 KO monsters in Canelo and Jacobs and still outpointed them while eating huge shots. Is anyone's chin better in boxing history?
Golovkin has never been visibly hurt in his career And never will be It's up there alongside the like's of Vitali, without question.
Vitali was visably hurt when his eye was damn near hanging out of his face. All those gnarly cuts around it too.
Mentally cut from a different cloth to most boxers, I firmly believe a chin issue can be mentality too. Its granite but so is his mental makeup. He's took shots that have registered, but he refuses to be hurt it seems. Great fighter. Another man that might not be everyone's cup of tea that's a monster in that department, Canelo !
Just because there was surface damage to his fac, doesn't mean Vitali was affected by it Vitali was still marching forward and walking down Lewis with half his face hanging off. Which is testament to his resolve.
He's hasn't been hard enough. He outright refused to trade punches with Canelo who is an average hitter. His body language in both fights clearly displayed a reluctance to get hit and thats not the sign of a guy who has an all time great chin. Guys with steel chins would have been prepared to take a shot to land one. GGG refused point blank in the biggest fight of his life and it ultimately cost his all his belts. So , no .. his chin and mental resolve is average to good. Im thinking a light to decent 6
Lewis fought to the brink of collapse against Vitali. He blocked punches with his face just so he could get close to him. He dropped into his corner like a sack after every round. He gave absolutely everything he had to give to hold onto his titles. He didn't fight safe behind his jab so the judges could take his titles off him. Like a real ATG he took the result into his own hands. Don't compare bird balls Golovkin to guys who who have proven themselves to be capable of leaving it all in the ring when it was required , k?
Why do GGG fans think getting punched in the face is a badge of honor? When Canelo landed nuculer power punches on GGG, they gave credit to GGG for getting hit instead of Canelo for landing the punch. It seems like backwards logic, to me.
See I might be the minority here but I felt either brook hurt him or gained his respect in the 2nd round of their fight. Awaits to be shot down
