Just read a thread comparing Chis to another nearly man, Herol Graham, but I pointed out that Derek`s career is more like Bruno`s was until he finally won a version of the world title v McCall, thing is I feel Chis would have beaten McCall also and Graham pushed McCallum to a split decision and neither Bruno nor Chis can boast anything even close to that. Am I wrong or over simplistic here?

Chisora is tough, but Bruno only
    lost to top men.
    He’d knock Chisora out.

Bruno would stop Chis .His thumping jab would set him up for a ko. Chisora walks in to a booming right from Frank ..ko rd 8

Bruno all day. Blimey. He was out jabbing and out boxing Lennox. He was very precise against top talent like Witherspoon, Tillis and Truth Williams. Chisora has beat, kind of, nobody.

Tillis was much older than Chisora is now when he fought Bruno and Williams had been knocked out several times before Bruno beat him, Carl was very open to the left hook.

Eh?? Tillis was 29, Chisora is 34

Yeah, Carl was knocked down by a young Tyson - shameful...

He did ,but he's not facing Lennox here .He had a lot of pressure on his shoulder s facing Lennox ,as he did against Spoon .Frank burnt off a lot of nervous energy in there but he was still doing great up to being stopped .Against DC he'd be under no such pressure so he's not gassing or as nervous. He'd be confident and still OK going in to the mid rounds

I feel it was Frank`s muscle mass that made him gas and Whyte`s punches were less sloppy than Lewis`s were v Bruno, the hook Whyte hit Chisora with was better than the hook Lewis hit Frank with, Frank was wide open to the counter after going for broke v Lewis and got caught lie Chisora because he fought in straight lines with no lateral movement, Lewis improved vastly afteer Steward straightened his right hand.

In 1987 he was upset in eight rounds, as underdog (and regular Tyson sparring partner) Michael Williams came off the floor to stop Tillis. Later in the same year, he was stopped in five rounds on cuts by future champ Frank Bruno. Chisora at 34 would have destroyed Williams. I pasted this from wiki because I couldn`t be bothered writing this, I knew Tillis was finished even by 29 though.

Morrison knocked out Williams in the fight before Bruno with a hook, and he had been beaten a few fights previous to meeting Tommy, at 34 he was far more finished than Chisora, who looked far better v Whyte, Dillian would have knocked Williams out with the first hook he landed and would have landed it pretty easily because Carl always left his right glove low.

Chisora is fun, but is a Derek Williams level fighter if he fought in Bruno's era. I could see Chisora being upset by a Currie or Quarless when not motivated. And there was a reason the likes of Hughroy and Noel did not fight the Bomber, and that was even Lawless et al, knew they could not sell the fights.

Bruno in a round against unmotivated Chisora. And even when fighting a motivated Chisora, Bruno would not feel the pressure that caused the nervous energy that led to stamina issues, and thus he would carry his power into the later rounds for the stoppage win.

Actually similar in terms of success, BUT Burno did it in a much stronger era.

Chisora is really not great against tall people. nor is he a concussive puncher.
