Hearn could be making an error with Ted Cheesemans next fight versus Sergio Garcia

I rate Cheeseman as one of our best prospects..

But check out Sergio Garcia! He's no muppet. The guy can fight and is a top young prospect himself. It's a cracking match up.

 

Good at putting but needs to work on his approach shots

 

Fair play to Cheeseman, he's saying all the right things and is already taking challenges.

 

Mistake or not it's a competitive fight and I encourage more of this. Will help Cheesemans rankings too as Garcia is number 4 with the WBC.

 

English, British and European, he's moving through the levels at a great pace. I would have liked to have seen a defence or two of the British but match making at light middle would be tough at the minute. A lot of established names and prospects on their way through. No point taking a risk for the British when you can push on to European.

Haven't seen anything of this Garcia fella, although he has one of those Wilder type records. Still it's a big leap forward, fair play!

 

I don’t know anything about Garcia but I hope Cheeseman wins because I would love to see Cheeseman v Fowler when both are undefeated.

 

Garcia is multi-talented. Golf major winner and ryder cup star.

And now up and coming boxing prospect.

Cheeseman has been fighting at a far higher level of competition than Garcia.

The issue is really only the unknown here. No one really knows how good Garcia is because he has spent 28 fights at a low level of opposition with the exception of 1 opponent.

 

Some very funny comments on here. I really rate Cheeseman so hope not, but it's definitely a tough fight.

 

Not forgetting that he also plays professional football for RCD Espanyol based in the beautiful city of Barcelona.

Given his professional exploits at Golf, he has a decent swing, at professional football where he has a good cross - Mr Ted Cheeseburger may end up with salad and sauce piled on him.

 

Eddie pushes his stable straight from british to European in one jump which is commendable but we saw Ritson and Eggington come unstuck this way.

Why’s Hearn making an error? It’s a good fight to make so why not make it? Would you rather him do a Warren and just feed his prospects bums like he does for Yarde

 

Win or lose it shouldn't matter. Should encourage such matchups with there being too much pressure on protecting the 0. Wouldn't mind seeing someone like Yarde in a tough test instead of seeing him fight pushovers
