Hill was rated as one of the best P4P fighters in the world at one point, some people rate Maske highly, was he better than Hill or were neither of them any better than Tiozzo?

Hill was clearly above the other two imo.Maske has only one relevant name on his cv imo Charles Williams, Hill was washed up when Maske finally beat him.Rochigianni wasn't much, Barkley was past his best.

    IBF defences against

Egerton Marcus* Had been rated at one point
    Andrea Magi
Ernesto Magdaleno* Was ranked the previous year
    David Vedder
    Anthony Hembrick
    Duran Williams
    JohnScully
Were **** take jokes imo, so its definitely

    Hill

    Maske
    Tiozzo
Neither of the above two are top 35 light heavyweights, imo.

Virgil Hill wins this easily. More title defenses and he was not exciting and rather boring, but he was effective moving and jabbing.

Maske was no joke. He is a criminally underrated fighter who probably should be in the hall of fame. I really wish he would have kept fighting after his loss to Hill. It was quite an achievement coming back after ten years off but I would have loved to have seen him in against Jones, Toney, Moorer etc. I fell like Hill accomplished more in his career but I am definitely a fan of Maske. He was a pro's pro.

My point was Roy won his first light heavyweight title in 96 the same year when Maske retired after losing to Hill. Maske retired early and I believe still had some good years left. His style and amauter pedigree would have been an interesting match for Roy. I know Toney didn't accomplish much at 175 but I would have liked to have seen Maske and him match up. Two master boxers with really differant styles-- unfortunately the timing just wasn't there for these fight to happen.

To me, it was a fair points win by Hill. There was no controversy over the decision except perhaps in Germany.
Maske best wins were against Williams and Rockigiani.
