I don’t think it’s unreasonable that paying customers (or even potential ones) voice their opinion about the quality of a product.

Sky’s boxing coverage these days varies between tolerable and abysmal, depending on whether malignaggi is there. It could and should be a lot better.

People are not paying for the commentary and punditry, in the same way that people pay for a room to stay in and not a mint on the pillow and extra thick bathrobes. Hotels realise though that the little things are important when you’re building a brand and customer loyalty.

It may not matter too much to Sky at the moment when they hold most of the aces, but it may well do if and when they have some meaningful competition. That’s generally when you reap what you sow in taking punters for granted and insulting their intelligence.

It’s just jobs for the lads basically. If your one of Eddie’s ex fighters your guaranteed a commentary job regardless of if you actually do any research.

Who did enzo mac bellew and Smith all do commentary for before matchroom came back and rose like a Phoenix

You people have such short term memories

Tis what it tis just don't buy and watch later with no sound

I like all boxers doing well from the sport unlike some horrible chunks that want some to walk through fire for pennies says a lot about ones aura and
    Way of thinking

Give Froch some respect. Remember he fought in front of 80000 at Wembley.

In case you some how forgot as he might not have mentioned it for 5 minutes.

Froch is only bearable when he's paired with Malignaggi

When it's just him and Smith it's absolutely diabolical, although Macklin is proving to be just as bad

Can't believe I'm saying this but I miss the days of Darke and Watt

Eddie has said that Froch rings him up on the way to a show to get information about the undercard. It's all on video.

Buffer is also on the payroll. Today he’s yet again tweeting matchroom propaganda - a ridiculously bias article in which he’s one of the ‘judges’ to choose between the big three Joshua, Wilder, Fury.

Of course in the article Joshua emerges the winner.

Buffer is contracted to Matchroom anyway. If you look through all his tweets, they're all pro Matchroom.

I was going to say this. Froch literally rings Eddie to be told what to say. It's ridiculous.

Problem is the casuals are none the wiser to all of this incompetence and bias. They're sky's target market and they bring in the big money. Nothing will change.

Joshua's commentary last week was the absolute pits.

You could tell AJ loved the sound of his own voice, he wouldn’t shut the hell up. The Mans got no self awareness if he actually thinks he did a good job.

I think the fact that the new breed of boxing fans are a crossover from football, means the intelligence level has dropped amongst the average uk boxing fan where these kind of people are likely to take things at face value, without any critical thought or questioning. Whenever I casually speak with a fellow boxing fan in uk, often all I hear is regurgitation of what has been reported as a headline or what narrative Sky has sold.

Football fans are not the sharpest tools in the shed. If you have ever had a discussion with one about matters relating to football, you know that it's all about point scoring and one upmanship rather than honest debate

American boxing fans in comparison, in my honest opinion ,are far more knowledgeable on a whole which is why Hearn can't hoodhink and sell his fights over there as well as he does over here

Americans boxing supporters are more likely to take things which are reported with a pinch of salt and will look further than one source.

Even their pundits and commentators are far more insightful, which explains why when Paulie is on Sky, he puts all the other pundits to shame because he actually knows what he is talking about and doesn't blindly stick to one narrative and keep repeating it, unless of course when he has his own bias towards a particular fighter that he doesn't like.

Blame wicky for the football mob becoming so called boxing fans
    There every where
They even have a problem with the content of commentary but said sheeeeeiit she it was fish eyes getting and giving Hatton if not worse
They seem to forget said promoter was sure to not let others earn in order for others to flourish lie belittle and even mock other fighters situations
At least matchroom is making more fighters money and not a court case in sight lol
