Fact is Vitali made Lewis retire after the going got way tougher in that match than in the Byrd fight. And just like in the Byrd fight... who was hurt more and being out boxed throughout the fight before it got stopped do to injury?? Lol Exactly. Vitali redeemed himself.

Fact is Vitali never got out boxed or even close to it. Fact is Lewis and Jorge lost a lot more rounds than Vitali throughout their careers and were one shot dropped/stopped also while Vitali wasn’t.

Maybe those are reasons why Vitali is looked at as a H2H great. Still “No Idea” why he’s favored in these fantasy matchups?? Lol! Looking forward to another herp derp “Byrd fight doe!” response.

I think you're confused, its Vitali who retired AGAIN in the Lewis fight. Unless you're talking about LL's post fight retirement which is completely irrelevant to the conversation.

The only times Vitali fought elite competition, he lost. And elite is being generous as one was old and fat, the other a career LHW. Besides that his resume is extremely thin, he never fought an elite fighter in their prime.

The argument was made that Harrison is "tougher" than Vitali. I challenged that view.

I saw Bowe engage in wars and win, I never saw Vitali do that. Primes? I take Bowe.

I never made that argument, I simply stated Vitali quit when he lost a hand, whereas Harrison didn’t. Those are just the facts.

Bowe's superior in fighting skills would see him through. Bowe was 6'5 235-240lbs,, Vitali could not physically bully him like he did to most of the people he fought.

Thank you! Vitali depended on his size advantage very often

Bowe is the definition of a guy needing his size to win. The moment he faced a guy his own size with skills, he got disintegrated. What's more he was a dirty, sloppy fighter that was happy to cheat to win when he couldn't get guys out of there. He got his just rewards against Golota.

Most heavyweight champs relied on their physical gifts to win.

That's funny watching Golota outbox and embarrass Bowe twice makes me think you may be getting them confused.

Exactly. I think Golota would always have been a bad match up for a Bowe even in 92. Lennox and Vitali would have destroyed Bowe.
