Nick manners Josh warrington's trainers and strategists for fights said it best. He knows how to beat ingle fighters and he has studied ENOUGH and his boys have sparred enough to know what it takes to Beat Kid Galahad and Dominic Ingles training. He talked about ingle fighters like to fight on "rhythm" and a pace to allow them to dictate the fight. He thinks once you see another fighter up the intensity 2-4 levels and pace of a fight they struggle to adapt as they are so fixed on the one-pace/dictating pace of a fight by their output and rhythm. its not about fitness of the Ingle fighters its fighting at a high tempo round after round and thinking quickly in the line of fire. He basically said Kid will get found out that Josh win against him in Amateurs was no fluke and it will play out how he thinks it will Kid won't be able to handle the fight intensity and pace. [i believe it was interview with Briritish Boxing or Boxing Social] To be fair i favour Warrington, as he is a monster for anyone at this weight and Kid hasn't really faught fighters of selby or frampton has he?
He makes it sound easy. Naseem Hamed was an unbeaten world champion with the Ingles. Johnny Nelson was undefeated as world champion for over 5 years. Witter lost his world title to Timothy Bradley and Brook to Errol Spence. I can't remember them struggling with Nick Manners trained fighters.
Well they didn't struggle because they never faced any. Maybe they would of all lost a lot earlier had they come up across a fighter that was involved with Nick! Never say never bent nose!
I've never said never, pal! I'm struggling to think what Nick could have done to help someone beat a peak Naz. My point was it's easy to be a master strategist who can convince the odd pundit that he knows how to beat all Ingle fighters. The test comes if he actually has to face one.
Yes but look at how they fight, it's not a high tempo fighting is it? All I was quoting is Nick saying kid is a rhythm fighter and will struggle to match when the pace, punch output and Intensity increases.
I was going to say. The Ingles aren't exactly daft and get to right far more than wrong, especially in big fights. They will be training Galahad for 12 hard, fast rounds. If it's not enough to beat Warrington (which I expect it won't quite be) it will be that Warrington is simply the better all round boxer.
JW will vacate and then win/lose come back for his IBF belt from Kid. This way he not lost anything other than a possible loss.
Basically the Ingle style will only take you so far, too many bad habits. It’s not so much a certain style is their nemesis, more a case of when they eventually face a level of fighter who is capable of exposing the flaws.
