Lara still won't admit that he can't move like he use to. Nice to see him fighting these young guys and testing their will. He fought Hurd toe to toe which was a surprise altogether that he lasted the fight using that style maybe he fights Castano the same way.

This is a cracking fight and probably one of the most interesting matchups in early 2019.

You can call Lara old, past prime or slow, whatever, he is still one of the best SWWs out there and would school a guy like Charlo easily.

    What would Brian Castano do,
    If he were here today?
He'd jab Lara and follow through,
    That's what Brian Castano' do

Castano TKO Book It. This will be far worse than the Hurd beating, since Lara won't actually win it like he did that one.

Yeah, just like he did with that hobbit Canelo right? No, he hauled ass, just like he'll be doing against Brian.

See Yves Ulysse Jr vs Cletus Seldin 2,

Except the gap in talent and size is even bigger

Only thing going for Castano is youth, at least he has that advantage I suppose

This is the wrong fight for Lara coming off the Hurd war.

People thought I was nuts for my call on that fight, too. The old Lara of today isn't the same fighter as the hungry, fresher one that fought Punisher and Canelo. I'm glad he got the paydays, but the lax PBC matchmaking didn't keep him sharp enough for a massive attrition fighter with something to prove.

I admire the heart he fought with vs Hurd, but there's a good chance he left something in the ring that isn't coming back.

And coming straight off that against a pressure fighter like Castano is a move that will take another chunk of him.

Lara really impressed me with his guts in that fight. And I don't say that to patronize him at all...his legs aren't what they used to be, and I thought Hurd would stop him in the last third of the fight grinding him down like that.
