Why there weren't WBC's mandatory open scoring system in Wilder - Fury fight?

Ya the crowd would just be booing the whole fight and throwing crap at the judges

Yep, the concept actually doesn't work bc it would hurt orgs like the WBC who then would look suspicious in carefully selecting fights to do this with.

The concept is dumb anyway because it will make fighters coast to wins in certain fights while forcing fighters to make mistakes in others if they know they are behind.

It's not dumb, it's natural. It happens anyways regardless if they know the score or not as they guess at it anyways. I'm fine with sides knowing where they stand, its sure as hell better than the alternative where winners are getting robbed blind and nothing is done about it.

This makes zero sense , guessing is not knowing...if a corner knows they are winning by certain amount of rounds it will change the way a fighter fights and fighters will start to fight not to lose and protect the lead , instead of win ...it's dumb as hell , your basically saying you want better judging but watered down fights which will ruin the sport with one fighter taking the gas off the pedal while the other steps on it in a game of catch up?

Along with a few more reasons it will ruin it. You will see less knockouts if this happens bc it will force fighters into a rounds game worrying about losing the lead.....again it's dumb as hell.

Alvarez-Trout is a clear example of the system not working.
Alvarez got on his bike in the later rounds, knowing he had the fight in the bag.

Doesn't it have to do with the state comissions? I don't remember seeing open scoring in California, but I've seen it plenty in Texas.

It really doesn’t matter what happened in the ring as nobody questions it,nor does there seem to be any chance of looking into it.

Seems to simple to me,find a bunch of morally sound folk of which there are plenty, train them up and have their scorecards done to shadow those chosen and show up the discrepancies if indeed there are any?
Wouldn’t happen over night but over a year or two it might help to show up what’s going on.

My mother hates boxing and yet even she can score fights.
GGG v Canelo are always gonna be close and polarise opinion.

No **** sherlock. That's boxing. Corners always guess if they are winning or losing and coach their fighter accordingly. The only difference is it will be out there live with no mistake. If a boxer is behind on pts, THAT IS HIS ****ING PROBLEM. Geesius wtf.

They did this for the Trout fight and it ruined his game plan against Canelo and he became more aggressive and got knocked down.
