Actually this. Even though I consider Golovkin having 2 wins over Canelo, Jacobs is quite probably the better fighter and beating him means more. Canelo is just better promoted than DJ.
Jacobs has had a damn fine run since losing to GGG as well. My feeling currently is that Canelo actually is better than Jacobs; his stamina was always a divider for me but that seemed less of an issue in the rematch.
You're kidding yourself. Canelo is a much better fighter than Jacobs, and beating Canelo obviously would have meant more. Unfortunately for GGG and fans like yourself, he failed at doing that twice.
Despite deluded GGG fans and Canelo haters parroting the same diatribe, the correct answer is Jacob’s. To bad we never got to see him vs Pirog. That would have revealed much one way or the other
Canelo might fight Jacobs with a 155 lb weight limit and a rehydration clause in Vegas. Otherwise he stays far away I wonder if Canelo's extra vag that GGG carved into his face has closed up yet?
Good example, that's like saying Korobov best win is Charlo, do you see how stupid that sounds when he officially didn't get the decision?
IMHO, the first canelo fight was the best win of any MW in decades.. I know the "official result" was a totally bogus draw, that's BS. Every single fan that knows what to look for saw ggg clearly best canelo last year..the rematch (due to the canelo name) could had been a draw and that would seem plausible for most, but that first fight was ggg @35 clearly beating a prime 27yr old elite MW canelo. Record books don't mean shyte to me, what I saw truly occur is what I saw
Any fan that knows what to look for ? G didn't even get into the fight until the 5th round . Canelo was in complete control in rounds 1-4. GGG got himself back into the fight by upping his output in the middle rounds, and then Canelo finished strong in the final 3 rounds. You can make the argument that G won it, but acting like it was clear and easy to score is laughable. Canelo fought a very intelligent fight, set traps for GGG, landed more body shots, landed more hard impressive punches, was slipping punches and making GGG miss all night. Even in GGG's best rounds Canelo landed the more eye catching punches. Neither fight was a clear-no-doubt-about-it win for either guy. Both fights will be debated forever, you're not fooling anyone acting like G won that fight clearly.
He got outboxed by the far more superior athlete and skilled puncher. Canelo was toying with him on the ropes. GGG was visibly frustrated at his inability to land clean. Canelo was setting traps, slipping punches and lighting G up with big eye catching punches. Canelo won that fight, GGG was gifted a draw for "effort" and "aggression".
