    Absolutely correct mate.

Boxthing now simply a bizthness where puddings now become millionaires due to the PPV Mugths.

As egregious mismatches go, it at least served a purpose (trinket in another weight class for Canelo), and had some morbid curiosity factor (the size difference).

It's not like Matchroom invented the mismatch, or for that matter tenuous angles to sell them to the public. A while back someone actually made a quite successful movie about that kind of thing.

Canelo/Goldenboy/DAZN - Absolute w.ankers for putting together such a farce.

Fielding/Matchroom/Sky - Off the hook here. Not their gig. Rocky ain't gona turn down the money and sky ain't gona turn down showing Canelo for peanuts.

It's disgusting. Remember it was on at 5am as well, who in their right mind was staying up to watch such a mismatch. And those Sky subscribers struggling to make ends meet that did stay up, got a cop-out from the smiling from ear-to-ear throughout the few hideous one-sided rounds Fielding - who got dream money. It was like Mayweather against that Jap

Exactly right, but you'll see a lot of that on here. Certain fans on here are more concerned about fighters purses instead of big fights being made.

Fighters are going to Hearn now demanding 7 figure purses and instead of saying no I’m paying you what your worth he thinks it’s the fans responsibility to have a whip round. Hearn seemed to be under this impression that us fans just had to see Whyte-Chisora again which I personally wasn’t even that bothered about.

I just think fighters are getting too greedy. I mean a 400k purse is plenty fair for a fight like Whyte-Chisora. It take most people 8-10 years to earn that probably more. I know it’s a dangerous sport but millions of people go out every day working dangerous jobs for a fraction of a purse like that.

The Fielding one didn’t really bother me as it wasn’t PPV. Mind you Hearn probably would have tried to if he had to. He would have justified it by saying Fielding ‘deserved’ a pay day and it’s a dangerous fight.

It's just a fact that money is the most important factor as to whether fights get made or not. As a result, when potentially big fights don't it will inevitably become an argument about money.

Can you imagine if a Football team went out in a champions league final and lost 10-0 and afterwards said to their fans that its fine because they all get a bonus and have secured their families future

Let's all ignore the part where those same footballers earn tens of millions a year.

As stated, it's just to justify fights someone has no real chance of winning

Always has been that way. It's called prize fighting and the idea fighters fight for Belts over money is naive and not realistic.

The way some people go on they like to think Ray Leonard, Hagler, Ali, Tyson, Hearns, Foreman etc etc were all fighting for peanuts and did it just for the love of the sport.

Darren Barker secured his future when he went over to Germany knowing he was injured and in no state to actually win.

Well done Darren though, he secured his family’s future.

Same can’t be said for Barker’s fans though who must have spent thousands on travel and accommodation to see their hero lose because of injury in an absolutely awful fight.

The money paid to top Sportsman is obscene including the high end boxers.

Fraud made $9m on New Year's eve in his 2nd exhibition fight following the first v Conman Mcgregor.

Shocking and I could be on here all year about pudding footballers becoming multi millionaires
