It seems from reports that this is likely to be announced shortly. Hopefully, not and it ends up being the Brook fight, so both Khan and Kell can get out of the game with whatever braincells they have left and with a massive payday afterwards. But, it’s looking likely that Amir is preparing to sell his chin to Terrance instead..fair enough it’s his health. My question is, after signing him to a 3 fight deal which unbelievably didn’t tie him to a Brook fight for the last one, if Khan does take Crawford is this the biggest slap in the face for Sky Boxing ever? They and Eddie are obviously desperate to ring out one more PPV for Brook against him, but instead Amir would be running off to a non PPV fight to get smashed in the middle of the night in the US against an opponent nobody outside of boxing fans have heard of and won’t even be aware that the fight is happening.. Khan would have been literally trolling sky/Hearn/Brook- unbelievable stuff.
I'm confused as whether Khan vs Crawford is included in the deal. WBN says it isnt. https://www.*****.net/2018/12/29/amir-khan-terence-crawford-close/ Khan would likely appear on the ESPN+ format for Crawford before then returning to DAZN for one last contracted bout with Matchroom.
The 3 fight deal was 2 fights and a ppv fight No opponents specified Hearn has said this in an ifl vid
At this point, I don't understand what is so compelling about Khan-Brook that it simply has to be made ahead of any other potential match-ups. Crawford-Khan is a mutt of a fight, no argument there. At least it serves some kind of bigger purpose though, as it would help give Crawford more exposure with a win over a high-profile opponent.
It's two fighters with a high UK profile who genuinely don't like each other. The loser will be absolutely gutted. That is what fans want.
It is not in anyway compelling. We just want the pair of them to **** off, once they fight they will.
I could be accused of being a casual for saying so, but I'd rather see Khan v Brook than Khan v Crawford. It's a more competitive fight for a start. I'd rather see Crawford face one of the top welterweights, which doesn't include Khan.
Theres no doubt khan brook is a big fight but if your a fighter why would you not want to fight 1)_ the pound for pound best fighters in the devision If you can't get Pacquiao.
I really don't understand why Khan is taking this. It's the 2nd worst matchup for him. He needs to be fighting Thurman, Garcia or Spence (Not Porter cause that fight is suicide for Khan cause of Porter's aggression) He's just going to be outboxed to a decision. And I think it'll be a close fight, I do. But Crawford is a slightly better boxer. People forget Khan's boxing ability. Problem is Crawford has more intent in his punches and that'll affect Khan in the late rounds. He can outbox Thurman, Garcia and Spence. Neither of those 3 are anything special. Crawford and Porter he shouldn't be going anywhere near. Porter is dangerous for Khan and Crawford is risky although I can see a possibility that he pulls it off.
