The only counter argument I’ll say is with today’s training methods, or even methods of the 80s 90s, he’d be much bigger and stronger

I’m not sure I’d say he beats the super heavies but he’s probably make a mean 190/200 cruiser

A big cheque? then probably another for the trilogy?

As fans we talk about boxing careers, they think about money.

There's no case for Canelo winning either fight. You can argue a draw for him in both but no realistic case for winning either.

Signing with Universum made a lot of sense for Golovkin, seeing as it's a relatively short distance from Kazakstahn and that was how most guys of his stock were traversing the pros at the time. He didn't suspect he'd be put on that back-burner, and when he did, litigation for his contract break took more time off his best days. It's all unfortunate, seeing as he would have smashed Sturm and Zbik to bits.

So many people are hung up on the second decision for Alvarez, when that's but a part of it.

If it's Canelo (some LMW) as a supposed step up, Alvarez got a gift draw and in actuality was well beaten. There was no case for a rematch, other than to put right the result which of course they failed to do.

Golovkin has never been beaten as a pro, and perhaps never will be.

I wouldn't pay too much mind to his comment. When he says "The first time he decided to step up...," it all but ignores Golovkin's circumstances.

GGG asked for "Mexican Style" GGG got "Mexican Style". But he din't like it once he got it. Maybe GGG coulda won a decision in the rematch if he didn't ask for all that "Mexican Style".

Alvarez never came close to being "well beaten" by Golovkin. The best you can argue in the first fight was that GGG somehow edged Canelo 7-5 by winning all the close rounds. Canelo was clowning GGG in the first fight, Canelo gave GGG and his fans a much needed boxing lesson.

Golovkin has been beaten as a pro and it was done by Saul Canelo Alvarez. It's time to exit GGG la la land. Canelo deserved to win both fights and it was GGG who was gifted a draw. Get it right.

In the first fight, Canelo did better than GGG in rounds 1,2,3,4,6,10,11&12. In round 5, Canelo was doing better until GGG came on in the final minute and edged it with a strong finish. In rounds 7,8 and 9 GGG arguably did better by upping his work rate and landing more than he had been. That's 8 rounds to 4 Canelo.

There I made the case. The 2nd fight plenty have made the case that Canelo won which makes what you're saying inaccurate.

GGG has three wins over Canelo, Sept 2017, May 2018 and Sept 2018. When Canelo made the decision to consume illegal amounts of clenbuterol to boost his shaky stamina it was sealed that Gennady had indeed fathered a cute little ginger son.

    Yes he did.

Dude, Canelo is the ginger. I think you're confusing the two fighters.

Canelo ran the whole fight and got picked to pieces on the ropes. Golovkin put up a masterclass on how to beat a counterpuncher and everybody except for you, Oscar and Canelo's mom knows it.

Nope. That cheating roiding ginger biscuit tried to pressure GGG in the rematch and all he did was run into trap after trap. Golovkin did to him in the rematch what Canelo tried to do to GGG in the first fight. Golovkin won both fights 8-4, and the second was wider than the first.

80% of boxing fans agree that Golovkin beat Canelo and if that's la-la land then we're all in it and you're in a glass box on your own somewhere.
