The IBF won't grant Warrington an exception.

I think I know what Warren joy boy this addressed to and the answer is he's obsessed with Hearn.

Like you I get why people don't like Hearn but to think Warren is a better option for British boxers or fans is mental IMO. The bloke was infamous for poor and cancelled shows and dodgy dealings that either attempted or managed to screw over fighters. He more or less had a monopoly on British boxing at one point and ran it into the ground.

Meh, don't like Galahad but equally happy to watch Josh dispose of him.

Galahad is still a very good fight. He is very awkward and will not be drawn into the fight that Warrington wants. Stylistically this could be a hard match up.

I don't see how Galahad wins this. Has he ever fought anyone as a pro that has applied the sort of pressure Warrington is capable of? Galahad strikes me as the sort of fighter who needs time to work, Warrington won't give him a tea break and will just swarm him.

Might be different if Galahad was a big puncher, but he doesn't seem to be that. Warrington win's by clear UD or late stoppage.

No need to worry mate, Josh is a clever lad he's already goal setting for 2019. He will not take kid lightly, he wouldn't take anyone lightly, they all have the potential to take the belt away, he will fight to the death for that belt.

Galahad isn’t a terrible fight for Warrington. Of course it’s not a PPV fight on it’s own.

This is nothing to do with exemptions in my mind.. this is to do with purse bids and potentially Hearn taking FW's Number 1 fighter right now (with a title) after the Frampton win on to another platform.

That's what I'm interested in, if Hearn wants to be a Moby after all the trash FW has spoken recently then Hearn drags Warrington on to Sky/DAZN.

I don't know how BT will feel about this if it happens or if BT will help FW out with a purse bid, FW is in a difficult position, with those stories of bankruptcy and money problems has he got the financial muscle to outbid Hearn?

Good post, it brings to the forefront some of the schematics that are going to be involved in making this fight.

If it goes to purse bids, Warrington gets 75% or 70% of the purse as champion. I doubt Warren will get outbid.

I like that the IBF doesn't mess about with its mandatories to be honest. They look like the only organisation that respect their own rules!
