Personally I think Gene tunney would probably be the most interesting match up of the three, he was basically a bigger much harder hitting and less reckless billy conn after all.

I predict Louis would knock patterson out before the 6th and would do the same to his Patterson's sweedish rival but out of the two patterson would be the more probalamatic as he was faster and more graceful than ingo, Louis never had too much trouble with sluggers like ingo tho I think ingo was more well rounded than galento or the baer bros

Glad to be back on the form for the first time in almost a year btw hope to see some old names still posting on here, happy New year.

I agree ,Tunney is the real danger,he could nick a decision.Neither Floyd or Ingo have the chins to beat Joe.

Tunney indeed would be a bit of a stylistic turd to throw at Louis.

Patterson and Johansen would be gone quickly.

Patterson was tailor made for Louis, and Louis would see Johansen as a threat who had to be disposed of quickly.

Ingo leaves very early .. Floyd does OK for a few rounds and then is gone .. Tunney is a very tricky and loses a close decision , possibly coming off the floor to do so ..

Not to take anything away from The Bomber but he may have had to come off the floor to beat Floyd or Ingo. Ingo's right was eons more quick and out of nowhere as say...two ton Tony? And Joe was dumped by much less powerful punchers than Floyd, and hurt by much less harder punchers then Floyd.
That being said: "All hail the ATG Joe Louis!!

Tony dropped him w a left hook. He also had a granite chin while Ingo was near as glassy as Floyd's.

Tunney is easily the harder fight for Louis, this could turn in to the Conn fight without Joe catching up.
Patterson just hasn't the chin to last too long unfortunately.
Ingo, well what are the odds he pulls off a Patterson 1 type upset??
Not much chance imo, so the swede gets pummeled.

Tunney would be Conn all over again, with a little drama and a predictable conclusion.

He beats Patterson and Ingo on the same night.

Tunney was a "stylistic turd", how poetic! If only I could figure out the meaning of it. I looked it up in my lexicon of boxing terms but didn't find anything. Maybe our Janitor can explain it.

Tunney decisions Louis, boxing masterfully and hurting the Brown Bomber several times, but Joe kayoes the Fighting Marine in the rematch. Patterson vs Louis is an exciting speed fest with action galore. The scorecards are even in the 11th round, when Louis finally lands a devastating combination of lefts and rights and Patterson sags to the canvas for the 10-count. Louis enters the ring having never seen Johansson and gets the surprise of his life. The Swede stays away from him, pawing with his left for two rounds, then suddenly nails Joe with his vaunted Hammer of Thor and knocks him on his keister. Louis doesn't know where he is for two rounds but then recovers his senses, corners Ingo in the sixth round and overwhelms him with a two-fisted assault. Afterward reporters find Ingemar devouring a cheesecake in his dressing room. "What happened, Ingemar?" one scribe inquires. "I don't know," he replies. "I guess I got hungry." Later he is seen doing the mambo with a bosomy blonde at the Stork Club.

Stylistic turd, is a poetic way for saying that one fighter is a bad stylistic match for another.

You begin to see why I am not a professional poet?
