Loma vs 135 Crawford

I think after this jump for spence it rules out them ever meeting. Mikey is gonna kill himself to make 135lb

 

Rigo was 37 vs Gamboa’s 33. Rigo never got hit, he hadn’t taken damage. Gamboa had taken plenty and been dropped about ten times at that point. Gamboa is a 126 pound fighter naturally. Rigo never fought at 118, so quit it with the fantasy talk. And the point is that Crawford is a natural 147 pound fighter. So it’s the equivalent, perhaps even more of a size differential for Crawford and Gamboa. Loma is a natural 126 pound fighter. And don’t forget that Loma outskilled Rigo, Crawford outsized and outlasted Gamboa.
So yeah you’ve convinced me, Rigo was a better win than Crawford’s best.

 

Loma tore his labrum in the second round and won the fight handily... vs Pedraza Loma was still recovering from that injury and lost 1 round

 

If Crawford and Loma were the same size, Crawford would beat him. Just a more complete fighter.

Crawford was huge at 135. He beats Loma.

 

Both of those were LW champions. Gamboa wasn't, he is undersized & average at the weight & should have lost to Sosa, he was smashed by a guy with 14 losses & has done hardly anything of note at LW...

You talk like Pedraza is some bum anyway! He shut out both Klimov & Beltran as easily (if not more so) than Crawford did, he's clearly a good fighter.

I watched Crawford at LW, he was skillful but quite a dull fighter with average power, at LW, he did nothing extraordinary nor put on any fight's that were noteworthy. So don't act like he was some LW beast.. He couldn't KO B/C level fighters like Burns, Prescott, Beltran or Klimov.

Linares & Pedraza won a couple of rounds between them. Which considering Loma is adjusting to the new weight (having fought only these two unlike TC who has 25 fight's at the weight) I think that is fine.

Thread is nothing more than a symptom of ellerbes insecurity over boxing's current crop & the recent Gvozdyk/Fury weekend that brought him to tears. He has form on Loma..

Lomas had 2 fight's at 135. As he adjusts & matures into the weight he'll continue to impress & will go down as a far greater LW than Crawford ever will.

He looked a little flat versus Pedraza but it was still a shutout & I suspect he was just shaking off the rust & feeling his way back in with the shoulder..

 

In my opinion, Loma could have a good chance in a fight against 135 lbs Crawford old self. Loma has way much better defense than Gamboa and also more intelligent as well.

 

Stop making excuses for him, if he wasn't ready why did they take the fight then?? They took it because they believed the Loma hype and old Salido brought them back to reality!

It is a dangerous fight for Loma sure.. But like u i don't think 135 is Crawford's best weight. It's where he basically learnt his trade.

Lengthy, accurate counter puncher, able to switch stance, technically very good but never faced the footwork & sophisticated angles of a high IQ southpaw like VL. So in truth we don't really have a good gauge..

Crawfords LW tenure was decent but not spectacular & his power wasn't significant either.

Loma hasn't even had a year at the weight & is already surpassing what Crawford did, undergoing surgery in the process of it all too. I think overall tho it's much fairer to asses his true merit's at 135 when he's completed his LW tenure. Either way it's nothing but conjecture & speculation.

 

Why ask about a fight that will never happen? Crawford will never see 135 again. 135 is long gone for him.

 

Lomachenko is simply a fantastic fighter. I think he probably has hit his ceiling at 135, but, even at that weight I'll pick him over anybody.
