Paulino Uzcudun vs Primo Carnera. Is this one on film and if so, it the riot after the fight also on film?
This content is protected Tell me that ain’t a great SHW performance right there ladies and gentleman.
It is a great Superheavyweight Performance right there. Primo was ahead of his time. The forerunner of a future division.
Thanks, that is one I have not seen. Was this the first heavyweight world title fight that did not feature an American?
I'm not the one pushing McCorkindale's name forward as some kind of dreadnought nemesis. When was he ranked ,that was my question.I dont have to prove he wasn't, the onus is on you to prove he was.
Uzcudun was not listed in the published NBA rankings in September 1933 and, while I think he floated in and out of them between '29 to '32, I feel fairly confident that he didn't make the cut for the Ring's Annual Ratings for 1929, or any year after. Ironically, he finds his way back into the low-end of the NBA rankings, after taking a beating for 15-rounds from Carnera.
Terrible mechanics. This isn’t just about being “unorthodox” either. Primo looks like he never learned how to consistently punch wiith leverage or to coordinate his fists and his legs. Countless arm punches and pushed punches, and he stumbles a bit after several of his punches because he doesn’t move his feet properly. The fact that some regular posters can watch this and think this guy is as good an all-around fighter as Riddick Bowe is insane. Who are you people?
