I just gave an example of Pacquiao landing 3 straight lefts in a row. So that does happen.

I feel like were getting off track here. Floyd was never freaky fast. Hes not even close to GOAT speed levels.

Being unique does not mean best. RGIII is more unique than Manning. But whos the better player?

Usyk is my p4p #1. But hes not unique. Hes iust athletic and skilled. Which is normal.

Are you forgetting that Mayweather was awarded Fighter of the year in 1998? 2 years into his pro career and the same time he won his first world title?

His repeat hand injuries in fights done more damage to his legacy then anything. If his hands held up for his career, he would have been making guys quit just like Loma does.

    1. Mayweather - His work after Delahoya (12 fights) is mostly against handpicked poor opposition, but his fights before that were the best version of Floyd
    2. Roy Jones - Probably the most entertaining fighter to watch
    3. Delahoya - Wasn't dazzling like Roy but that jab gave so many fighters problems and he had speed.
    4. Mosley (at the time, no one knew he was a cheating scumbag)
    5. Loma - kind of like a RJJ/Mayweather mesh. No, I'm not suggesting is is as good as both, simply in the way he fights and how entertaining he is. Below 140 though, Floyd was a pretty devastating hitter.
    6. Pacquiao - His biggest wins were handpicked fights and could have arguably lost many fights against Juan but his speed, pace and tenacity were something you don't see much and he was no doubt elite.

Oh dear, now I have triggered both Floyd and Pac fans.

    Pacquiao.

He was different and unique. Flawed but was exciting.

Tough, heart, chin, power and speed. But his style is just not common.

How can he be a cherry picker when he fought 90% of his prime career under arum who told him who to fight. Also who are these so called killers that you would have favored to beat him

    Kostya Tszyu @ 140 & Vic Darchinyan @ 115.

Both unified & undisputed world champions at those weights.

Not bad for blokes fighting out of Australia.

Will be surprised if we ever have another in my lifetime.

    It was bizarre as hell.
Both camps went back and forth for a while til about 2011 when Arum made some of the most ridiculous excuses. Vegas needed time to build and extension to the MGM? And some BS about Manny's cut from Marquez III...
But at this time Mayweather's side went quiet.
And post 2012 it was just non stop blaming it all on Floyd. Largely due to Manny loosing back to back fights and his PPV numbers dropping. Suddenly team Manny wanted the fight more than ever, so they were extremely vocal about it.

Similar situation with Wilder-Joshua. Joshua arrived on the scene and suddenly Wilder started running his mouth. 1,2 and 3 and the story is how Joshua is ducking Wilder.
Meanwhile neither side has made any legit efforts to make the fight happen. Only some vague talks and propaganda through social media. (Meanwhile Wilder-Fury gets made behind the scenes in a heartbeat, proving the social media negotiations being BS)

    I think it's actual delusion.
Vic is one of the most underappreciated boxers of the past era. He deserves more respect than he gets, his losses came from far bigger men.

Floyd left Arum when he was 29. An unroided fighter’s prime is 28-32. So roided Floyd’s prime went from 28 to at least 38. Floyd left Arum to duck Margarito. And then Floyd never fought a prime welter at their best weight. “90%”. LOL. What a joke fanboy you are.

    I agree he's underappreciated.

His kayo wins over Irene Pacheco, Cristian Mijares & Jorge Arce were as good as it gets in the lower weight classes.

Vic really opened up the lower weight divisions to premium boxing networks. He was a pioneer for the sport in that regard.

He made many appearances on Showtime. Up until Vic came along, the little guys were rarely featured.

He was always willing to fight anyone & often took short money to get fights made.
