A 1/2 foot reach disadvantage creates problems for anyone. In Loma's last two fights he has been at a pretty big height/reach disadvantage and won both well. Haney looks great. He's got real potential but I don't think he's ready for Loma yet.

rawford dominates against B level competition. He still hasn't competed against a A Class opponent.

Who picked Horn to win? Nar bro, you gotta post up proof of that. Horn was a free title for anyone of the top 147lbers. Crawford lucked up probably because Arum had options on Horn's next couple of fights so he could easily match him with Crawford. Everyone knew that Crawford was gonna blitz Horn. The same Horn that won a controversial decision via struggle against a faded Pacquiao. An your trying to state that people gave Horn a chance. No way.

Horn may not be the finest boxer but he’s a solid pressure fighter, and Pac is still a good scalp. Destroyed Matthysse in his next fight.

Depends how much you rate Gary Russell Jr and an old Rigo coming up in weight but I don’t see Lomas best wins as any better than Crawfords. Maybe Russell Jr is the best scalp between the two of them but I’m not convinced.

Rigo was still lingering on p4p lists when he got schooled. And before you use the size excuse, Loma didn't use his size to beat him up. He humiliated him by showing him levels. Rigo quit and has only stopped sulking long enough for Haymon to sign and put on an upcoming card.

yeah but he didn't beat Pac. Horn won 3 rounds at the most. To claim him as one of Crawford's best opponents is to damn him with faint praise

Rigo was dragged up 2 weight divisions to fight Loma, of course size was a factor. Loma was much bigger, much fresher there was no way he was gonna lose that fight.

His win over Rigo is about as significant as something like Khans over Barrera.

I really, really, really, really hope you mean GGG and not Fielding. I'm going to give you the benefit of the doubt and not assume you believe Fielding to be an "elite fighter". The problem that leaves, however, is that Canelo didn't "move up" to beat GGG. He already had a middleweight belt.

On-topic: zero chance Haney beats Lomachenko. I'm not even sure he'll beat Ndongeni without it being a robbery.

I doubt even Rockys mother would describe him as elite.

Canelo won the belt against a career WW at a 155 catchweight. Then beat a fat JCC Jr. So yes you could say he tested the waters a little bit, but I don’t see how that takes away from beating the best 160lber as the smaller man.

You can't really technically claim that as "moving up", though, without in the same breath declaring the middleweight title he won null & void.

Haney will be a handful for Loma but I think that Loma's ring wisdom will enable him to prevail.

Go and re-watch Haney's performance against Burgos and use some logic when thinking about how he will do against Lomachenko. Haney gets handled with Loma not even moving out of second gear.
