I agree maidana had a brilliant gameplan come in on fight night with a 15 pound plus weight advantage and look to show pbf no respect be willing to sell out something most fighters just simply won't or arent able to do especially against a past prime pbf. With that said he was spent by the second half of the fight because he didn't pace himself. He gave pbf one of his hardest fights but still came up short, so props to maidana i take nothing away from him.

Here is how I see it, for reference:

Maidana gave Mayweather the hardest, roughest, most uncomfortable night of the latter part of his career. (ie post-moving up to 147lbs, the "Money" era...)

Cotto did the best against Floyd in that era using clean boxing.

Canelo got shut out, as clearly as he lost to Lara, and I'm really not sure how that is such an unpopular opinion.

Pacquiao did somewhere in between Canelo & Cotto - ie, much better than Canelo (who I think didn't clearly bag a single round, whereas Pac did) but not close to as good as Cotto (who came within a couple of rounds but still lost, and in a few rounds straight up dominated Floyd which Pac never did).

And yes I understand that is hard for people to wrap their heads around given how Pac wrecked a younger fresher Cotto but that's only because styles make fights and people DKSAB.

If you go life and death with two Mexican brawlers with a chin (Morales/Marquez) then you never ever will be beating FMJ. Fact.

All what No 49 did is give FMJ a extended sparring session = Reality.

    No fact at all.

Cherrypicked a Pacman that had lost his speed and explosiveness. Fact.

o_O Pimp still on about Golovkin? :ohno

I'm going to call Gennady and ask him how much he wants for the space in Pimp's head that he owns, rent-free. Rumour is that its nice and spacious with a good airflow.

So pro boxers don't know how to score a fight but you do...ok then boxing message board guy.

Why are you mentioning being robbed? If a fight can be scored a draw, as you have even just said yourself, it not unreasonable to think that one swing round would have given them the win.

Applying scoring criteria correctly? LOL. That criteria is also open to interpretation. Effective aggression as an example.... Not everyone views it the same. Some score it for the guy coming forward throwing, some score it for the elusive counter puncher.

Castillo is the only one who you can argue beat Floyd when he held a world title, and that's it. Maidana did well no doubts, but Floyd figured him out mid rounds and beat him. 7-5.

I agree Castillo did better against an injured Mayweather. I felt Castillo pulled it out, but I felt Maidana lost to Floyd by a round. I also think a case where either fighter wins, or a draw falls into an acceptable result. Both pretty close fights.

Castillo beat Floyd in the first fight and the vast majority agree.
