The post above me gets to the heart of the matter...I'll add that Gomez outclasses hamed before he dispatches him.
NOBODY BEATS GOMEZ AT 122,....especially anyone named Hamed.

Naseem arguably was in pomp and had a proper bang at 122, so would be in it while it lasted. But sadly for Naseem he lacked the boxing intellect and defence to be in there for too long.

What World Championship grade fighter did Naseem beat at Jr. Feather?

In the Zalazar fight, you see Gomez twice hit Zalazar with a punch when Zalazar was down. Carlos Zarate should have reviewed this fight film before Zarate fought Gomez.

If it was at 126 with the Gomez of the Sanchez fight or post-Sanchez, the one who was in love with his power and neglected the other tools in his considerably large kit bag to stand and trade.......things could get hairy for Gomez. A possible back and forth fight with both of them hitting the deck more than once, Hamed more so through poor balance than anything. I don't think Gomez had the power to ko Naz at feather, who had a good chin, but the opposite isn't true. Hamed stands a good chance of winning by KO in this scenario, but I'd still fancy Gomez to gut it out on points I think, he was the stronger willed of the two by some distance.

At 122, Gomez would be using his full arsenal to the peak of his ability and should therefore win more easily, I'd think. It's hard to see Naz coping with his footwork and variety of punch, just whether or not Gomez could force an attrition/mercy stoppage or whether Hamed's good chin and massive power threat would keep him in it for the duration.

On a side note, its hard to imagine two more unlikeable c***s going at it in a boxing ring. Both of them were horrible oiks, though in different ways, with massive chips on their shoulders. I think Gomez would genuinely want to murder Hamed by fight night.

Gomez might have been the meanest sonuvabitch I've ever seen in a boxing ring. Chip on his shoulder is an understatement.

I'll never forget him dropping poor Derrick Holmes like 100 times, and each time standing over him taunting him to get up.

Gomez enjoyed putting hurt on guys.

Hamed did as well, but ultimately, I think Hamed was more about having fun and entertaining the fans.

It was more personal for Gomez. He just got off on inflicting pain.

Would be a great fight. A real war like a miniature forman lyle.I fancy Gomez to close the show mid rnds after getting off the deck

I think it would be more of a destruction. MAB showed us that Hamed is clueless against a top-flight technician.

Now, take MAB, add even more skill, more quickness, and A LOT more power... and you got prime Gomez.

I think at 122 Bazooka stops Hamed inside of 8.
