I can't see it happening. Wlad needs a big challenge to get motivated. He'll only comeback if it's against Fury, Joshua or Wilder.
I don't see why Whyte wouldn't be viewed as a big challenge. Whyte's record is better and deeper than Wilders for instance. Whtye would be amongst Wlad's top 5 best wins along with Povetkin, Haye and Pulev.
The only thing that might make sense for Wlad is a huge rematch with AJ. Sure that needs to be prepared and Wlad may need warm up fights, but it does not make much sense for the former King to return against Whyte. Plus, Whyte has earned his title shot and desrves the Wembley fight against AJ.
At this stage he only cares about his legacy. The chance of going down in history as a 3 time HW champion or avenging his most disappointing loss might entice him back into the ring. Whyte would amount to nothing more than a minor footnote in his career.
You can't just claim that you have ''credible sources''. Post some proof of this otherwise your just chatting ****. Hey guys I've recently been contacted by an anonymous match room employee, they claim that as they were cleaning Eddie Hearn's office they noticed some plans on Hearn's desk. These plans show the location of Canelo's next fight which will take place somewhere in the south pacific against Danny Jacobs. Rumor has it Shawn Porter may or may not be fighting on the under-card. My sources are credible, however I am unable to reveal any proof as that will give away my source/s. Haters will say I'm lying and this isn't legit.
Whyte is not better then Peter, Byrd, Ibragimov Brewster, Rahman, Thompson or Chagaev. Just s solid second tier fighter.
Please take what Scott says with a grain of salt. Who could forget the last time Scott's ''credible'' sources revealed information to him. https://www.boxingforum24.com/threa...s-takam-on-whyte-chisora-ii-undercard.618562/ This man is clearly delusional.
I was with you until the last bit about Whyte earning his title shot. Yes he's earnt it by taking the back door route instead of going through top contenders. He should be fighting either Ortiz, Jarrell Miller or Dominic Breazelle. He will be on a hiding to nothing in the Joshau fight. He'll get dispatched even quicker this time.
Whytes record already deeper and better. Brewster, Byrd and Rahman only known for 1 upset and failed to display quality the rest of their careers. Thompson? He was only slightly above journeyman level/gate keeper. Peter had no notable wins and lost to Helenius whom Whyte beat.
Thompson was well above journeyman level but I agree with the rest of your post. I’d pick Whyte to beat all of these guys.
Sorry, but these are bad takes. Whyte is a very good HW, great resume for a contender, definitely top 5ish. But with the exception of Thompson, all the HW's @Heavy_Hitter named had solidly better resumes and legacies to this point. I could go through them fighter by fighter as I did for my "resume" thread, but its so apparent I'd prefer not to unless really pushed. In addition, Wilder has a vastly better resume than Whyte, empirically. There is plenty to criticize the guy for, and you can certainly make an argument that for a HW with 8 title defenses his resume is well below average. But its still night and day from Whyte. I posted an in depth thread a few days ago closely examining, in great detail, the resumes of the top HW's, and the Big 3 are just plainly, solidly above the rest (though Wilder is last of the three, certainly), Sasha is the only one even remotely close. Maybe Whyte will go on to improve his resume a lot and change this, but let's not go crazy for now. He has one close win over a top 5ish HW right now and only ever beat one other fringe top 10 HW in Chisora. Beating Whyte, at this moment in time, does little for Wlad except reestablishing him at one of the very best in the division. It doesn't change his overall legacy. He'd need a win against one of the big three to do that, unless Whyte beats one of them in the meantime.
