Mikey has repeatedly vouched for Valero's murderous power and picked Valero to KO Pacquiao.

Tough fight for Loma. Valero has a stalking back-straight right hand like Tszyu.
Majority will side with Loma but this can go either way.
I would pick Valero to do a quicker job on Linares without hesitation.

Would not have been surprised to see Valero beat Loma. Sadly we never got to see the best of Edwin Valero.

    Lomachenko would win.

Valero stopped all of his opponents in the ring, but almost none of them are elite boxer. The only big profile win he has is against Antonio DeMarco, who defeated Linares, or to some extent, Mosquera. He never face an opponent with a top class defense, movement, speed, stamina to move around through the 12 rounds and counterattacking ability like Lomachenko. And their intelligence are totally different level.

Valero might have a deadly brute force, but tactically inferior to Loma and has a quite exposed defense. His main tactic is to press and overcome his opponent by his monstrous power. And when his opponent can't hold it any longer and take step back, he'll unleash his barrage of powerful blows. However, that kind of one-dimensional tactic will be easily read and anticipated by Loma. Loma will frustrate him and play his emotion, then eventually control the fight in his favor.

And I respectfully disagree that Pacquiao can be beaten by this man.

Guy who fought no one, relied on punching power vs an obvious all time great. Hmmm I wonder.

Valero is overrated because of the '0' in the loss column. I wouldn't have picked him to beat a number of his contemporaries--Marquez, Pacquiao, Morales, Guzman, and Casamayor. He could box a bit and punch, but was also raw and defensively flawed. Lomachenko would work angles, frustrate him, and clown him later on to secure a near shutout.

Valero will land at some point. Super tough to pick, I would actually give Valero the edge. Only slightly though.

Lomachenko would pants him. He has faces WAY better competition, is leagues above Valero in skill and athleticism. I wouldnt be surprised to see a totally frustrated and befuddled Valero pull a no mas in the mid to late rouends. I just dont see him landing much significance. Lomachenko tunes Valero up. Valero was highly overrated, who did he ever really face?

Really haven't seen enough of Valero against top comp to consider picking him here - or against the likes of Pac fo that matter either
