He might not be ducking Brook to fight Crawford,

but the man literally lives in fear what a defeat to Brook would for his career

I don't get the point of this thread tbh mate. As long as he's still taking fights like this, i don't think it should really matter. Khan chasing legacy still, Brook chasing money.

Hurd should be next or fight after next for Brook.

Spot on. Khan is daring to be great, making the most of an excellent opportunity.

Brook is obsessed with Khan. Brook is the one petrified to fight the big boys at 154. He should be calling out Hurd. But let's be honest Hurd does a job on Brook.

I think the fear is with Brook if anyone. And that fear is losing to another live body that won't pay him as much as a Khan fight might (a value which diminishes by the day)

Khan is delusional, he chased Floyd after losing to lesser fighters, after each loss he sacks his trainer after blaming the loss on them, he can`t handle not being good enough at the highest level, his legacy if you can call it that is heavily tainted and Brook would knock him out with the first solid shot he lands.

legacy if i can call it that? Silver medallist at 17, the youngest Brit to medal at an Olympics, one of our youngest world champs ever, unified champion, is that not a legacy to leave behind? yes, the bloke is a bit of a knob personality wise, but for what they've done in the ring, Khan and Brook can never be compared.

and it's definitely not as easy as Brook just has to turn up and land on him.

I thought he'd put all the LMWs on notice as well. Seeing as he is now Hurd's mandatory, he should follow through on what he's said. He has options, both Hurd & Harrison have expressed an interest in coming to the UK to fight him

Got to agree. I think no matter the outcome for Khan in the Crawford fight, the Brook fight will still be on the table. If Brook gets slaughtered by Hurd then he can kiss the Khan fight goodbye.

Khan still has ambitions for glory, Brook only has ambitions for one last big payday.

Khan isn't delusional for chasing Floyd when you consider Floyd fought Maidana twice (who Khan beat), plus Ortiz, Guerrero and Berto. Khan would have been comparable or indeed better than them.

Personally I think Floyd avoided Khan. Not in a 'Khan beats Mayweather' fashion; I still think Floyd wins the fight. But he was very careful with his latter career. Caught Mosley and Cotto when both were undeniably on the slide, battered Canelo but he was clearly weight drained, and took fights like the aforementioned that he was always going to win. Khan would have potentially caused him problems and Floyd would pick up minimal credit for beating him.

Agree with the consensus. If Khan was lining up a succession of puddings to feast on, it would be valid to criticise him for not pursuing a fight with Brook.

As it is, he's going after unbeaten P4P #2 Terence Crawford. Brook is an irrelevance in those stakes.

If Kell wants a meaningful fight at 154, I'm sure it could be put together.

As someone who has always been a huge Brook fan, I don't blame Khan at this point.

I'm sure Khan is embarrassed at the thought of losing to Brook, but the fight is largely irrelevant so who cares. Brook clearly hates Khan, but that isn't enough to make the fight now same as it wasn't enough years ago.

If Brook managed another world level win at welterweight after beating Porter (preferably unifying another belt), then that would have been enough. Brook defending world titles against Khan would have been huge, but unfortunately Kell threw his career away when he got destroyed by Golovkin.

If Brook wants a world title fight then Harrison has called him out, Herd has called him out, I’m sure Spence and even Porter would oblige the rematch. He doesn’t want glory, he wants his PPV loot and wants to ride off in the sunshine.

Wish that Hearn and Brook would just be more honest and do the same with Brook as they / Hearn / Matchroom did for Bellew - 'One last fight on PPV - a retirement payday'.

Brook knows that Khan is his biggest potential payday. He has zero ambition of attempting to take on the likes of Hurd for a title. Khan has more options at making £££ in USA that Brook does not have. Therefore, Brook needs Khan more.
