Matchroom have signed Smith just so Kell can continue to duck Hurd and Harrison and any other top 154lber and instead say he is building towards a 'big domestic fight' with Smith instead

    Embarrassing

To be fair I have no issues with this.

BUT....he cannot mention any 154lb title holder because he could fight any of them but his heart isnt fully in it.

I also think they would all beat him

Logical for this to happen this year, only hope would be that he moves on to challenge one of the major players in the division following that.

Actually not a bad fight, shame Kell’s heart is no longer in it. Would’ve favoured him by UD previously but not sure how much he wants ‘it’ anymore

Hurd and Harrison are willing to fight him in the UK. This is an embarrassing duck, he doesn't want to fight for a world title he wants to cash out against a lesser domestic fighter.

To be fair to him, he took on GGG and Spence and paid a heavy physical price each time. He's now winding his career down and probably wants to get out with some last money for his family and his health. Is that so terrible?

I doubt brook fights smith. I think it’s possible Hearn will use him for big domestic fights for his other 2 upcoming super-welters Fowler and Cheeseman, quite clever I think.

He doesn't errr but that doesn't seem to matter, it's on twitter so it must be true.

What I loved about the OP was the phrase "continue to duck" and then mention Harrison who only won his world title a couple of weeks ago.

Apparently Brook has ducked Harrison for a full two weeks now, a long and drawn out 14 days, embarrassing for Brook

Its a useless fight for Brook he has already bashed the british 154 fighters when he was sparring for GGG. Thats why he was so confident, at the time Ingle mentioned as much he seen already [training for GGG] he is better than any 154 in UK. He be to good for Smith its no point fight unless its a tune up for Harrison or Hurd.

I wish someone could put up the sparring with froch that was good apprently. Sky don't release that

Ugh. I was really hoping this wouldn't happen so Eddie and Kell had no excuses but to fight Hurd at 154...but once again, Eddie somehow 'saves' the situation with Khan by bringing in Smith. I mean please, there's not one level, but two levels between Brook and Smith. It's a mismatch. A lot of people seem to undervalue Brook but I certainly don't.

Not to mention Eddie, Brook vs Smith doesn't sell out. Brook vs Hurd should be the only option and is the only one that makes any sense. I'm going to lose my mind if they decide to end Brook's career with a win over the very average Liam Smith. He can finish this off so much better than this...

Im no Brook fan by any means but Liam Smith is TOUGH!!!

Brook might be able to walk straight into opportunities on name value but can't bag him for this one!

In fact I think Smith might even beat Kell.

They are both equals in the skills department but Kell is by far the superior athlete, Smith is a bigger and more rugged customer.
Brook is probably stronger and harder hitting.

Very even match up, Kell is a fast starter and Smith is generally a slow starter that gets stronger as the fight progresses.

Kell Brook would get a hell of a beating against Hurd, no point taking that punishment!!

Funny that, I did say a while back Harrison would be a great fight for Brook and one I'd expect him to lose tbh
