He was deadlocked 3-3 over six bouts in the amateurs with Ryan Garcia (who is the poster boy for hyped up Instagram generations frauds, IMO)...which kind of tells me his level.

(yeah, I know, the Jake footage is skimpy, but that somehow is all that exists of him online...twenty seconds of his loss to Jermaine Franklin, which don't even include the actual TKO... )

 

Sadly no, it has been relegated to legendary status for all those who didn't see it (or download) before they brought out the big litigious guns.

Sort of calls to mind the Wilder vs. Sconiers footage situation. A few people actually saw it, and then a bunch more claim to have seen it but haven't just to push their agenda (in either direction). Just as with that one, you have people claim to have seen it and yet express the "opinion" that even if made widely available it wouldn't be all that damning to Wilder/Haney. Hmm.

And of course they can only be refuted by others who also must be taken equally at their word, as the footage in both cases is straight-up gone.

For the record there also was a now very controversial (and impossible to find, before you go looking...I've tried) spar between Haney and Teófimo Andrés López.

Devin and Teo each claim to have kicked the other's ass in humiliating fashion. In fact both claim to have kayoed one another.

I'd really love to see footage of that one...but knowing what happened with Shakur, my hunch as to which of them is being truthful is pretty well solidified...
