Because he had too lol, Mayweather made him sweat it out for his retirement fund that never come, hence fighting others. If Kahn had got Mayweather he would've retired after that fight !

Maybe that is the case but my point is who did he fight? Canelo for one.

Simple: he's at the tail end of his career, clearly on the decline and wants a winnable fight for the maximum return, as most fighters do when they are post-prime and, in the case of Brook, probably semi-shot. Fighting GGG and Spence back-to-back, and competing in three different weight class in consecutive fights, plus two major eye injuries means he's more than done his bit in terms of stepping up to the plate and dealing with setbacks.

There is very little UK demand for Brook vs Hurd, certainly not enough to justify a PPV but Brook vs Khan is a clear PPV in the UK which would net both fighters their biggest payday. Brook is prepared to make the fight and risk the loss against his big domestic rival - at 147 which he can barely make and with a hydration clause to further stack the odds in Khan's favour - but Khan still doesn't seem keen, or confident.

It's a pity, because having watched Brook's last fight, I give Khan a better chance of winning than I ever have. They both in their 30s, both nearer to the end of the their careers than the beginning and compete in and around the same weight class. One fighter seemingly wants to make the match, the other seems content chasing other fights he can't win. Deluded or ducking? Probably both....

You make a good case but is Brook going to be insistent on chasing Khan if he doesn't want the fight? What happened to Brooks bold claims of smashing through the 154lbs division. You can just about put anything on PPV nowadays so Brook vs Hurd is no different. Khan can make money elsewhere as he has stock in the US, he doesn't need Brook. Brook needs to find another route, simple as.

Because Khan doesn't want the fight. Pity he won't just come out and be as clear about this as you are...

Regardless, Brook needs to move on and secure another bout. Khan doesn't need to say a dam thing, signing for Crawford tells the story. If Brook wants to continue to be on his knees with his begging bowl that's down to him.

I don't see that as brave, I see that as not needing an excuse when he gets banged out, Canelos much bigger/stronger and skilled too. With Brook, who's his size, he would have to admit that he just lost to a better fighter, and that would kill him after all the words that have been said. To me this is real obvious, and for others

Silence speaks volumes, he wont say yay or nay, but fans will remember this and he'll be seen as not only a chinny twat but a tad gutless. When this fight was relevant it was up there with Benn v Eubank for publicity domestically and hype, and Kahns the reason it has never happened....And your defending him:facepalm:

Really, he's not begging, merely showing Khan up to be the fight-dodging pre-madonna he has become: A mini-me Mayweather (he's trying to do to Brook what Floyd did to him.... bless) without the skills or record to back him up. Pity really, because the Khan prior to his loss to Garcia was a warrior. This version is a poor imitation, although he has taken Zab Judah's mantle of the sport's best three round fighter. So that's something...

I have this with a mate of mine, he loves Kahn, and when we talk about this fight he goes all confused " Why isn't this fight happening kid ? " its a standing joke, my reply is usually "**** off mate be honest with yourself"...Kahn was hanging around just for Mayweather, then Pac was mentioned, but it was crystal he wanted big mega dough fight then retire. He has signed that deal with Hearn and you can guarantee the Brook fight STILL wont happen

He is begging. Khan doesn't want the fight (for now anyway) so he needs to man up and fight somebody else. Is Khan the only bloody fighter out there? No. Its becoming pathetic.

Comon now , no need to take things so personal, one thing you can't call the kid and that's 'gutless'. That is just a ridicolous claim. Because he doesnt need to fight Brook ? Comon now.

Face palm aint really getting personal mate :)...There's no better ingredients to make this fight happen, both same weight, both British, both don't like each other, both big names... I honestly cant see your point, its not good enough or strong enough...Kahn was a warrior, but he left the warrior in him at home when it comes to Brook !

I see your points mate but my point is Brook needs to move on. If Khan doesn't want or need the fight for his own reasons then the situation is closed. Brook can move on and maybe fight Liam Smith at some point but in the meantime why doesn't he take a fight abroad or something? He is limited in his thinking waiting on one man.
