Guys like Sven Fornling, Karo Murat, Igor Mikhalkin, Hosea Burton etc would all be good fights for Yarde. No reasonable person is asking him to fight the likes of Bivol or Beterbiev, we just want to see a step up.
We'll find out his opponent 5 days out from fight night once his opponents leave gets approved from his work.
Definitely. As it is I'm losing interest in this guy. I think he comes over very well outside the ring and he certainly looks the part but unless and until there's some sign that he's genuinely progressing and isn't just a hype job it's very difficult to keep interested.
I think because expectations are so low for his opponents, eventually we'll get a pleasant surprise and it will be somebody decent. Surely they can't continue fighting walk-overs forever. His team will see all the criticism he gets on social media etc. and they know they will be ridiculed if it's another no-hoper. With his next fight being on the undercard, of Bowen vs Clarke, in Leicester, I'm not expecting anything big, but at least put him in with somebody we've heard of and somebody who will come to win, Ricky Summers or Lyndon Arthur, one of the domestic fighters, then Warren has a "proper domestic dust-up" that he loves to promote. Then if he wins get him on the undercard of one of the bigger shows this year and give him another step up. Somebody like a Boesel, Koelling or Mikhalkin as already suggested.
It is still TBA guys. I was just looking through the LHW boxrec rankings and think this guy could be in with a shout of being given 2 weeks notice to fight him Maximiliano Jorge Gomez
I don't get why he says will be announced in two days time if it won't. No one was expecting it this week
I’d like to see him fight Enrico Koeling, feather fisted but went the distance with Beterbiev and Boesel
Have AJ promotions confirmed that they would want their fighter to face Yarde? Are they happy with the figures that would be involved at this point, or would they see it that it could be built into a proper payday fight....All we’ve heard is Hearn spouting that he wants the fight, when he knows full well it ain’t going to happen. Even Buasti has said it would probably make more business sense down the line. There is plenty to criticise Yarde for, but trying to make out he’s trying to duck Buatsi as if it’s an easy fight to make is silly.
