Lol, I do think Galento recieves to much credit on this forum, but I think this depiction is to the opposite extreme as well.
Well, I may have still overrated him. If he fought David Tua, the over/under for how long Galento would last would probably be about 8 seconds. This content is protected
I find both to be overrated, and would pick Tua in 6-8 rounds (one sided perhaps?) but with Galentos style? Who knows you might be correct or at least closer?
Look at Galentos record. He beat some quality guys, come on bro,Tua was clipped every time he tried better
One short view. ONE!!!! Hotdogmuncher(41): 77- This content is protected -5 _____ Tuaman(2006): 44- This content is protected -1 @PhillyPhan69 : An alternate universe of ***************
I get where you're coming from but do you think it's at all equivalent? I honestly don't understand how anyone could watch them both on film, consider their records, and think that they're comparable fighters in any meaningful way. Sure--some of us probably overrate Tua a smidge head-to-head but the guys who are acting as if Galento was a comparably talented and formidable fighter are either dishonest or DKSAB. In my humble opinion. Tua was faster, more powerful, and more durable than Galento. He had better all-around skills and much, much better technique. He had better training and a better pedigree. What am I missing?
Lol, I personally don’t think you missed very much. That is why I picked Tua initially over Baer and over Galento when @Pat M presented it. I don’t think Galento was a bum or totally unskilled but I do think too much gets made out of him on here sometimes.
I guess I am just not fond of the word and seldom use it. Seems to derogatory to use on a world class athlete or fighter in this case lol. I don’t even use the word to describe journeymen or tomato cans. Maybe it is semantics I just don’t like the word
Pick em fight in my view. This is the kind of opponent that we should be matching Tua against in fantasy fights, not people like Joe Louis.
