So why should all the non obese, ie people who aren’t lazy fat *******s, have to fork out to pay for other people’s treatment?

You idiots in favour of the sugar tax are worse than the people who support PPVs!

Oh and if this was correct then coke and Pepsi full sugar drink sales would have dropped severely and their diet drinks would have increased. So why hasn’t this happened? Because your completely wrong.

Jesus. What is wrong with you? A levy is put on something unhealthy in an attempt to mitigate a health crisis and you find a way to have a problem with it. Way. To. Go.

You haven’t a clue. The point is the levy will not help the crisis, how can you not grasp that? It’s simply a way to get more tax revenue. They would’ve been better educating people about how to actually avoid getting diabetes. Just charging people an extra 20% to drink a sugary drink WILL DO NOTHING.

Plus, sugar isn’t necessarily unhealthy. Only in excess. Everyone on the planet consumes sugar to some degree. Everything is unhealthy in excess, even things we need like air water etc.

It’s about education, not just charging people more.

Damn right I'm in favour of it. I'm in favour of anything that helps in some small way to take the strain off the NHS which is under massive pressure, just like I'm in favour of a nominal £5 charge for any presentation to hospital or GP for everyone, regardless of reason.

Should we put a levy on all unhealthy foods?

All refined foods, microwaveable meals, processed meats, takeaways, fast food?

If it’s to mitigate a health crisis then I guess you’d be in favour for it! ****ing moron.

The sugar tax will in no way shape or form offer any help to the NHS what so ever.

We have a range of conditions we're struggling to be able to afford to treat. Generally I care about people and I don't think being fat should be a capital offence even if it is annoying. This extra money can help support our health service. If it goes elsewhere then you have a point and of course I'm up for making the population healthier via education but you being a holier than thou **** to your fellow human beings because you want a cheaper Pepsi is frankly abhorrent to me.

So your strongly against charging people £20 for a PPV which is entirely their choice and is a luxury but then you want to charge £5 to see their GP? What if they want to see their Gp 4 times in a month? Your so inconsistent. Plus this is peoples health we’re talking about, not a luxury product.

Don't act like you're some humanitarian all of a sudden, according to you a few lifestyle missteps means you should left to die so pricks like you can have a slightly cheaper can of coke.

Now your chatting bollocks. The extra money isn’t going to the NHS for a start.

Secondly, I’m not annoyed with the sugar tax because I have to pay more, I don’t drink sugary drinks so it literally doesn’t effect me at all. I’m annoyed the government at charging people more when they should be educating them.

Thirdly, the vast majority of these conditions are arising due to people being uneducated, and/or lazy. Hence education is key.

I don't think a levy on really crappy unhealthy food is a bad idea no. I'm also not against subsidising healthy choices. You clearly are because you're a selfish ******** with no idea of the bigger picture.
