Thought it should have its own thread. Whyte turns the fight down because he’d get less than he did for the rematch with Chisora.

I think both sides are questionable...Whyte feels that he knows his worth but it could be argued that if he believes in his abilities he should back himself to take the belts.
I think you could argue that it’s a bit of a duck from AJ’s team but at the same time they’d argue that the rematch (if Whyte won) should be the incentive. Either way, it’s frustrating.

I find it hard to believe that it would genuinely be less than what he was paid for the Chisora fight but if it genuinely is true, how can anyone defend Hearn?

And people think he is seriously trying to bring Wilder over when he is underpaying his own fighter.

Joshua and Hearn are an embarrassment to British boxing (if this is indeed true). Two money hungry wankers.

If this is true, I'd consider going to BT if I was Whyte. The Fury fight would be big and he may have a better chance of getting Wilder as Frank and Finkel have a good relationship. From what I've heard, Whyte is on a fight by fight deal with Hearn and he manages himself, if so I'd consider jumping ship.

I’m surprised he’s received on offer to be honest. I think this should be the last straw. Go for Wilder/Fury if you can’t go for Miller stateside or Wembley. I’d rather even seen the Pulev mandatory out the way than this rematch. It ends the same way but earlier probably.

Yep it’s baffling since the big bodybuilder has already beaten the crap out of him. I reckon it’s McCracken. Probably has seen the improvements under Tibbs and has seen from the Chisora fight that Whyte has patience in the ring now, conserving his energy even when he had Chisora hurt.

This isn’t good timing for AJ imo. He’s got some stick for not being able to make the Wilder fight when Fury did it easily. He won’t even mention Fury’s name right now in terms of his preference and now it looks like he’s dodging Whyte with a low offer. Whilst commercially AJ is being managed fantastically well, it’s doing his reputation harm. Whilst I think he’d fight Wilder, Whyte and Fury on same night if he could, his team want none of it.

I’m really interested to see how the Matchroom shills spin this to defend all three parties, Whyte, Josh and Hearn.

Especially since moronic spastic @Puroresu_Fan has made two threads hailing Whyte as bonafide PPV star. How can a “PPV headliner” be lowballed in a domestic world title fight? How are these shills going to defend Hearn and Josh here?

Yep. The narrative will change now and Whyte will inexorably be thrown under the bus. I actually wouldn't be surprised if they start adopting the Whyte ducker line re Ortiz and Pulev now he's apparently served his chess piece purpose and MR have set their sights on the US.

Got a feeling something like this will happen after Big Josh "confronted" Whyte after the Chisora rematch. There was no meaning whatsoever. I'm pretty sure he read his lines from a teleprompter ffs.

Interesting to hear what excuses Lying Ed has.

I'm expecting Whyte to have some sort of "accidental" car crash in an underpass soon if he keeps up dropping Hearn red pills.
