It’s the one thing I love about Whyte. He is such a hot head that he doesn’t abide by Hearn’s politics and media dishonesty. He will set the record straight. I bet Hearn’s face went flush red when he saw that Talksport interview.
Yeah at first I thought it was a typical MR stage-managed act but some of the lines he's come out with are verboten, such as lowballing as he knows that's a bone of contention. It was all so straightforward before Fury came back wasn't it. AJ fights dwarves, old men and recycled opponents twice a year, then eventually Wilder and Miller in 3 years running up to his retirement. Then Fury came back. Not just came back, made the fight with Wilder easily and had a scintillating fight and the whole dynamics changed overnight. There is a clear rush on now to get AJ stateside, probably at least a year before it was even planned.
The same people who were criticising Whyte vs Parker/Chisora are now almost claiming he deserves a 50/50 split with Joshua! Be real. Also in any form of life when is a first offer accepted?
It's just the first offer Nothing to see here It's what the final offer ends up that's the point where it matters
I don’t think anyone has said Whyte is entitled to 50:50 but the offer was less than what he made against Chisora which was an O2 fight as opposed to a Wembley world title fight. Clear the offer is derisory. Also yeah, first offers are just the start of the negotiations. But Hearn has always peddled the rhetoric that negotiations are easier when the two fighters are Matchroom fighters. So why is he lowballing his own fighter?
First of all welcome back. Why was you banned? Second of all was the offer less? Who says? Whyte? And according to this board he was earning far too much money for the Chisora fight! So why is it now suddenly far too little? Last but not least, I may be mistaken here but I’m not sure Whyte is a matchroom fighter? He’s just on a fight by fight isn’t he?
Hearn clearly wants the Miller fight to get AJ stateside to keep the momentum going after he appeared ringside for Nelo Fielding. He's doing it as ****-Off. "Yeah, you can have the fight if you REALLY want it, but this is what you'll get, sure you still want it?.
Struggling to recall where I've heard that before. Can't wait for an IFL vid where Eddie lays it out to "Koogs" that offers were made to Whyte, he didn't have a pen etc etc etc
Miller stateside is better For AJ, better for Hearn/Matchroom but most importantly it’s better for the fans. Let’s be honest here what would you rather see? Joshu vs Miller or Joshua vs Whyte again? There’s only one winner.
Cheers bro, I got banned for apparently promoting streaming when I did no such thing. Anyway what I reckon has happened here is that they have given Whyte a flat fee offer which he has rejected because he knows the fight is worth more and Whyte is integral to any PPV sales from a fight with Joshua since the whole history is based on “beef”. Anyone can see that this fight has far more commercial value than Chisora from ticket sales alone, so clearly he should stand to earn much more than he did in that fight.
