100% agree Moog but if the rematch happens there’s bound to be a rematch clause again! He’s not getting to one of them until 2020. In the mean time who could he face? Do you really want to see the Whyte fight again?!
Agree, Whyte is just trying to put the pressure on Joshua/Hearn and so he should. As much as Joshua is going to be the A-side every time he fights I think he's filthy rich enough now to budge a little and get the big fights made.
Most likely a low ball opening bid but I don’t know why hearn would offer that he knows how much chisora get’s paid for fights. Ever since parker got his percentage deal that got him loads of wedge aj has suddenly talked about not over paying opponents seems like him and his team are now getting greedy.
Yeah this. Whyte will eventually get the offer he wants before accepting. This fight will still happen April 13 as was originally planned.
It may be low, but these idiots can’t see past the nose on their face. The opportunity value is signigficantly larger than any purse on offer. If these primadonnas really believed they could win, then the purse is largely irrelevant. The fact is he knows he will get KTFO again and wants paying for the privilege. I’m not defending Hearn, who is a greedy ****er, but he holds all the cards and Whyte is hardly in a position to negotiate.
There isn't a rematch clause for a draw. Joshua needs to stop trying to grab most of the money and then he could fight Wilder or Fury.
No-one is forcing Whyte to accept the offer. He is a voluntary challenger at this point so what sort of deal would he expect. If he wants the fight now he may have to take a poor deal. He can force the mandatory at some point but that would probably involve a risky fight and he will still only get 75-25 or 70-30.
Have to admit mate, I would also rather see AJ vs Whyte. Although I think Miller’s size makes him a handful, he doesn’t excite me. I think AJ would knock him out quickly. Whereas with Whyte, he is on a great run and although he’s not on AJ’s level in terms of boxing skill he’s more composed, more measured and more relaxed in the ring. He knows he can hurt anyone including AJ and if he lands clean with that left hand, AJ could be hitting the deck. If Miller lands clean on AJ’s chin i’m not convinced he carries that same concussive power.
I reckon Hearn would prefer the Miller fight, make some noise stateside as I believe they think wilder will win the fury rematch. Meanwhile Hearn can make the whyte vs Ortiz fight, that sells easy and apparently Ortiz isn’t expensive
Now I dont want to see either fight its like been asked if I want to get kicked or punched in the balls. I just think Miller is a steaming pile of shite and have no interest in the slightest watching him fight. Whyte atleast tends to bring a bit of excitement and massive heart.
