Whyte has the next to worthless WBC silver I think, but what he does have is a high rating across the board. Beat him and Wlad is relevant again. Not many fighters have that status.

Also, Maybe there's incentives from Matchroom we don't know about? Beat Whyte get Usyk, beat Usyk get AJ rematch?

Well that reduces the likelihood of the fight taking place by about 70%....

Whyte is ranked #4 by the Ring Magazine, is 30 y/o and in the form of his life, whereas Wlad will be 43 y/o by the time they fight if it does end up happening and he's only fought once in 3 years and twice in 4. The 41 y/o inactive considerably past prime albeit still one of the top 3 HWs in the world and very formidable at the time Wlad who fought AJ would spark Whyte out but I'm just wondering how much further Wlad will have had to have declined to not pull out the win against him now.

Hope he stays retired but can understand his urge to come. Must be hard to stay retired when you was at the top for so long

Probably gets boring more than anything. If you liked the training and the feeling of building towards a big fight then that’s lost. Time off is nice but Wlad probably feels he could have beaten AJ that night and can still do it, I’m now convinced he’ll come back.

For what it's worth, Wlad liked a Tweet about the suggestion of his comeback vs Whyte as well...

I think we can say for sure the talks are going on. Whether it actually happens or not is a different matter, I think Wlad would want quite a bit for this. He last fight was for 20 million for wasnt it? He doesn’t have the right to expect loads but how much would he realistically earn out of this?

That is a total joke. Goes to show how poor the odds-compiling is from bookmakers when they have to do it themselves.

I was happy to see him retire, but honestly, having him back would just make the division more exciting. Sure, he’s old, but he’s a specimen with a great boxing IQ. I’d wager that he deals with Whyte via KO, and suddenly we’ve got another comeback story.

Of course he needs to show that he can still cut it, but if he can, he’s got some unsettled business with 2 of the top 3.

I'd love to see WK come back and KO Whyte then rematch and KO AJ.

Huge Wlad fan. Do not want him to come back. Not against Whyte he's one of the worst options, he adds nothing but can have a lasting sour linger on Wlad's legacy... As for if it happens and say two of the others do as well, it would be a tremendous amount of relevant match ups.
