The lack of power will be Haney's downfall. If anything, that's what he needs to work on.

Haney has lost all of two rounds out of the 29 he's fought so far, against a higher caliber of opponent.

Haney had Ndogeni hurt several times, both to the body and head, and | don't think that's due to a lack of punch resistance on the part of the Wasp. DH isn't ever going to be a knock out artist, but, at worst, I think his power will be sufficient to think twice before mounting any kind of sustained assault.

 

I can certainly see that. Ndongeni is tough but a bit lack of movement, I think Kingry might catch him with a counter punch and drop him.

 

Haney only double the others guys punch stats so did you have it a draw pimp?

Probably, and I doubt his handlers let him into that kind of smoke this year... His footwork is alright, but he keeps his guard too low and his head movement looked a split second too slow. For example, every time he ducked Ndongeni he did the exact same double-dip maneuver... a better-trained fighter is going to catch him flush. I thought his power was pretty good though, even if he's not a one-punch kind of guy, and loved his aggression and swagger.

Ruben Villa, on the other hand, was ****ing brilliant.

 

Man was my prediction off on this fight. I thought Haney was gonna get upset and receive a boxing lesson. Props to him though for proving me wrong, and I wanted him to win the fight. Ill be honest though, Haney may very well become a very good fighter but he's not the generational prospect most pegged him to be earlier on.

 

Didnt watch the fight, couldn't care less who won.
But honey only double he's punch stats, you had loma vs russell a draw after 8 even though loma did the same lol.
I guess loma isn't american so he is held to different standards

 

Haney would never lose to a crude, unskilled, fringe contender like Commey.
