Sharif Bogere vs Javier Fortuna set for the Davis vs Mares card

Bogere had some decent hype behind him. He was touted prospect and his promotional team had high hopes on him. His record is/was pretty thin but there is UD victory over Beltran back in 2011.

2013 he got his shot to world title and was totally outboxed by tricky Richar Abril.

After that he went 100% under the radar and you didn't hear anyone mentioning his name anymore. Abril fight was 2013, Its been 5 years with pure silence.

Good match up. I have no idea how good 2019 Bogere is and what we can expect from him. I believe Fortuna will be too much to chew just because Bogere has been fighting absolutely bums for last 5 years.

Haven't seen Bogere in a quality fight since he got beaten all those years ago and the hype died. I expect Fortuna to beat him by close but clear decision.

Bogere is a good fighter, does anyone know why he fell off the radar?

 

He signed with a promotional company that only promotes its CEO showing off watches and counting money. No budget for fighters to get promoted, Floyd just bought his 10th Bugatti and it needs to be thrown a party.

 

Abril was a good and tricky fighter and as others said totally derailed Bogere's hype train. Bogere has/had talent but he's not beating Fortuna. Fortuna clear UD, something along the lines of 8-4 or 9-3.

 

LOL, you really don't like Floyd do you. I'm kind of on the fence. His whole routine is stale, but he is the smartest boxer, in-and-0ut of the ring, who ever lived (arguably).

 

No, I really love the way he played the system to his advantage and showed giys how to take their career into their own hands. I was tired of seeing fighters leave boxing broke and beaten.
What I don't like is the fact that he never turns it off anymore. Back before he got that money from the ODLH fight he was actually approachable and cool. He was still a simp for women but not this phony pimp he believes he is today. In fact he was super pro black /anti system when they were dragging him through the courts. Now he shits on EVERY black fighter ,even his own and plays up this ****ing ghetto stereotype every minute of the day because deep down Floyd Koy Mayweather is a punk ass *****.
I see it, Haymon saw it , Arum saw it, and J Prince saw it. I love his professionalism in his career but I dislike Floyd as a person.

 

I get you. I'll give you a little hint on the court thing though. All theatre. Kobe didn't **** anyone. OJ didn't kill anyone, Floyd never went to jail Kaepernick is no "black nationalist," ETC.

Part of the contract for rich, black athletes is that they have to look like a fool, a ***, or a violent criminal...usually #3...in order to get the money and exposure. It's like a game. They give you millions IF you agree to take down the public's perception of black athletes as a whole. It's called "the humiliation ritual." Some of these brothers are so dumb, like Ray Rice and Kareem Hunt that they do it without getting paid.

One guy whose in-ring style makes me throw up in my mouth a little (Fortuna) and one guy I used to like when he was an undefeated prospect (amused mostly by his theatrical entrances with the lion's head get-up) but whom I've come to loathe, since we're friends on Facebook and he constantly shit-posts an endless stream of disturbing content (beheading videos, animal or child abuse, extreme close-ups of genitalia with STD's) and militantly Islamic rhetoric. I guess that last fragment is redundant.

Hoping for a double KO1 and neither being televised evermore.
