Mathis Sr would be among the best of VK's opponents and is a big man. How would the best version do against prime Vitali?
Vitali would be very confused and would look awkward for the first few rounds. Eventually tho he establishes his jab and bullies mathis with his jab and height, making the outside fighter approach him. Mathis changes his approach and zips in and out tagging vitali once or twice with a safety first style. Vitali is very annoyed by this and fails to time or counter mathis so he must stalk him and cut the ring off. The last 3 rounds we see vitali suffering a black eye and gritting his teeth and willing to trade to corner mathis and unleash a storm of punches, dropping him in the 10th. Mathis survives and on shakey legs uses his upper body to dodge and then smother vitali anytime he goes in for the kill. In the 12th, vitali finally lands a big sledgehammer right hand and pounds on a wheezing out of breath mathis. Just as the ref is going to stop it, the bell rings. Vitali wins a very close SD.
LoL **** this. Basically every fighter from the past is the greatest thing ever. Klit ****ing kills this guy. Holy ****. I'm insulted.
Vitali probably stops him in the 8-12 range...or he could coast to a lopsided decision. I can’t see anyway that Mathis beats him, or where Vitali is not in control of this fight
So a fighter that was taken apart by the much smaller C.Byrd somehow going to destroy a much bigger version of Chris Byrd. Gimme a break children.
I concur with Lennox that Vitali has a rythm that's awkward to time. He wins with that, plus size...BUT not on the day he quit against Byrd. Watched the end of the fight & compubox numbers didn't show a great disparity in landed 132-124. Shots thrown were wide 502-284. Mathis on that day would've won. He went to the body, he moved decent for a semi-blubbery kind of fella. And he could tie up when he didn't like what was going on in the inside. Now the Vitali that fought Lennox? who learned to suffer through pain would slowly beat Mathis Sr into a coma.
Well ,it took a good few round for Frazier to get him out of there and that was a young Joe Frazier. So I don't see a fast ko .There'd be round s where Klitschko' doesn't seem to be doing a great deal in fact ,but it would be a slow chipping away type fight. Buster has his moments of catching Klitschko but nothing that would alter the fight s inevitable conclusion .I see Vit hurting his man around the 11 th /12 th with Busters face Banged up from his jab ,and the ref jumping in to stop any further punishment .The scoring would be closer than people expected with Buster winning at least 5 round s on the cards .,but the winner never In doubt.
