Tyson Luke Fury is going to stop Deontay Wilder in the rematch late on

With Wilder's fragile mandible, even the relatively light-hitting Fury could knock him out. If he lands a good shot on that shaky chin, Wilder will not only taste canvas like he did against Nichols and Sconiers, he may just be laid out cold.

 

Well he rocked him in the final round after getting off the canvas, and the shot was a relatively light one, so it's certainly possible if he puts a bit more weight on his shots in the rematch. I think he'll do so, knowing the windows in which it's safe to do so. Fury's not really a light hitter; he just doesn't choose to put much weight on his shots unless he's in with a total pudding.

 

I think he could, but I don't see the rematch happening. Fury won easily and was screwed. Why take the chance of getting screwed again?

 

IMO Fury was quite weakened from that weight loss. Against Pianeta we saw how powder-puff his punches have become, and he was never a puncher. I think he messed Wilder up through sheer timing, catching him on the counter and coming in time after time. If he beefs up a little I agree Wilder is going to have major problems. Wilder has dropped hints that he wants to put on a bunch of muscle for the rematch. IMO that's exactly the wrong approach. He should keep his lean, explosive frame and develop a sharp snapping jab instead. It would do wonders for him.

 

Fury said he was going to KO Wilder but didn't even try. His plan from the beginning was to win a points decision, marking with jabs and staying safe, throwing 1 or 2 power punches per round. It almost worked for him. I expect the same strategy for the rematch. Fury knowns that he will open himself if he goes for the knockout and that is something you shouldn't do vs Wilder.

 

Fury just doesnt have the power to KO wilder.

It will either be Fury on points or Wilder by KO.

 

This time, nothing can save Widler from the inevitable. He got figured out.
