In the post fight interview from Toney vs McCallum 2,Toney called out Julian Jackson (and Don King). Jackson responded by saying he wanted to shut Toney’s mouth . Who wins?
Toney toys with him for a wide decision, perhaps stops Jackson in the 8-12 range. Jackson way overrated at MW
Toney probably wins by stoppage. First and foremost, he is the better fighter between the two of them. On top of being better, he has very good defensive skills and has a chin made of iron that can take the bombs that get past his guard. Offensively Toney was very solid and he would be very punishing with whatever mistakes Jackson made. He would wear Jackson down and take him out sometime after the 7th round.
As much as I want to imagine that Jackson lands some crazy combination and puts Toney out, its a far fetched one. Toney UD or even late stoppage. McClellan vs Toney would be a better fight
Toney fairly easily. It might be kind of a Fury-Widler thing where Jackson lands a lucky one, but Toney would get up.
Toney stops Jackson late. Jackson too one dimensional and would get countered constantly, plus his power won’t be enough to penetrate Toney’s defense. And on top of that Toney’s chin is made of steel so that rules out Jackson’s chances of landing a Hail Mary.
Toney would put on a clinic like Graham did . However no Jackson one punch ko comeback here. Toney stops the Hawk mid rds.
Easy fight to predict. Jackson starts fast, Toney survives and then stops Jackson in the second half of the fight
Yeah reckon this is the most likely scenario. Jackson was the best pure puncher I've seen but Toney's chin was granite and his all round game (when he was fit and motivated) was sensational. Toney would be fit and massively motivated for a threat like the Hawk.
