    For the action-lovers.

Reminder: The point of this series is to get people to rewatch, rescore, and discuss the actual fights. Even if you only have a few free minutes to watch a round and sneak in a quick comment, your contribution will be much appreciated...

I'm just hoping people take time to watch and score some of these fights. These fights are classics but I know they're not as famous or controversial as Hagler and Leonard.

I'll probably start with the two "bonus" fights since I've never seen either.

Poor Bobby. If you want to know what mostly contributed to his Dementia, those fights are exhibits a and b.

He won the battle but lost the war

I scored Chacon/Boza II for Boza.

Also. It easily could have been stopped in the middle rounds when Chacons face was a bloody mask

It was as if Dr. Homensky had orders not to stop the fight no matter what.

He was the same guy who let Chavez decide if the second fight against Randall should be stopped. Chavez's cut was nowhere near as bad as the multiple lacerations Chacon had.

Rewatching it now (chacon-Limon), man the first 2 rounds are a wild ride! Round 2 has so many swings I will be interested to see scoring and hearing thoughts. That has to be on par with Gomez Pintor round 3 for round of the year

I scored it 141-141, a draw, I gave Chacon 8 rounds and Limon 7 rounds, but the two knockdowns for Limon made it a draw. If Limon hadn't gone down in the 15th he would have won by one point on my card. Making things more confusing is that I thought Chacon could have won the 9th, 13th, and 14th by two points, since he had Limon hurt bad, but I didn't score them that way.

I scored 1,3,4,7,10,11,12 for Limon with 3 and 10 being two point rounds, I scored 2,5,6,8,9,13,14,15 for Chacon with 15 being a two point round. They fought hard. Limon seemed to make a lot of fundamental mistakes, but apparently he had the toughness, quickness, and power to make up for his lack of conventional boxing skills. Chacon started hitting Limon with lead right hands in the 5th round and used the lead right more later on. Limon seemed to have an advantage in size and strength and Chacon probably had better boxing skills.

Chacon vs Limon “All hail one of the ATG fights”!!!! A shame that Leonard Hagler will get much more attention than this fight. Yes, Hagler/Leonard are greater fighters, but this fight is 10x’s more entertaining and discussion worthy IMO.

The judges had thier work cut out for them as many rounds had ebbs and flows where one guy tees off for 30 seconds and then the other guy does, making determining some of the rounds difficult. Rounds 5 & 11-12, man they are right IMO.

@Pat M we only scored 3 rounds different, which speaks volumes because I don’t think it was clear in a few rounds. You gave 5 to Chacon I scored it even, you gave 11 to Limon I had it even, and 12 you went Limon I edged Chacon. In those 3 rounds you had Limon 2-1 and I had Chacon 1-0-2 making that the difference in our cards. I always appreciate your card, insight and willingness to go first!

Kieth Jackson is not unbearable, but certainly had a Chacon slanted view of things. Anyway my card:

    1 Limon
    2 Chacon (19-19)
    3 Limon 10-8 (Limon 29-27)
    4 Limon (Limon 39-36)
    5 Even (Limon 49-46)
    6 Chacon (Limon 58-56)
    7 Limon (Limon 68-65)
    8 Chacon (Limon 77-75)
    9 Chacon (Limon 86-85)
    10 Limon 10-8 (Limon 96-93)
    11 Even (Limon 106-103)
    12 Chacon (Limon 115-113)
    13 Chacon (Limon 124-123)
    14 Chacon (133-133)
    15 Chacon 10-8 (Chacon 143-141)

    Chacon 143-141 Limon...Epic Fight!

I scored Bobby Chacon - Cornelius Boza-Edwards 2. I scored for BC 113-112, giving BC 1,2,6,9,12 (1,2,12 were 2 point rounds). I gave CBE rounds 3,4,5,7,8,11 (3 was a two point round), I scored round 10 EVEN. I had it for CBE 6-5-1 in rounds, but the three knockdowns gave the decision to BC.

BC, against Limon and CBE fought southpaws who were taller, and rangier. BC kept himself in the fights with toughness and courage. I don't know a lot about his career, but these fights couldn't have been good for his health. Both fighters took punishment, but strangely neither of them looked hurt when they were knocked down. I had the feeling that CBE was winning the fight, but he was knocked down 3 times and that is hard to overcome. I had BC up by 1 point at 6 rounds, it was even at 9, and then the knockdown in the 12th gave BC the win.
