Everyone has Mikey as a P4P monster. Everyone has Spence as a P4P monster. Both are chillin' near each other behind Crawford, Usyk, Lomachenko, Golovkin, and Tainted Beef.
Clearly #1 Edit: I misread the title as where does Mikey go p4p if he beats Spence, that will teach me for posting before my morning coffee lol
Nothing changes at all. Mikey is moving up two weight classes to fight Spence ffs. Spence is ranked between 8-15 right now and will be ranked there after the fight vs. Mikey no matter what happens there.
Beating up a world class fighter from two weight divisions lower ain’t gonna make him much higher in the p4p rankings. Similar to ggg/brook people won’t just move someone up for beating a much smaller fighter. Id have Spence around the 6th spot behind lomachenko, Usyk, canelo, ggg and Crawford but beating Mikey Garcia gives his resume abit more depth
Biased BS. Spence has a thin resume and only fought in one weight class so far. Passing the eye test isn't enough to be ranked as a Top 5/10 P4P fighter. With some good will he is a Top 10 P4P but definitely not Top 5. No idea how he passed the likes of Loma, Usyk, Inoue, Rungvisai, Crawford, Canelo on those lists you mentioned. And even then you have some other good names like Mikey Garcia or GGG. I think your lists are some biased American lists that are pushing an agenda. 8-15 is realistic.
Easily 7-10 Arguably 6-8 Beat a top 5 ranked to join the ranks. Most top 10 rarely have beaten another top 10er.
I think i have him in my Top 10 BUT i think it's debatable if he is #8 or #12 or even #15. There are many guys who could be ranked 8-10 anyway. Spence has to fight the best tho show where he belongs in the P4P ranks.
If he just comes forward and mauls/overpowers Mikey leading to an inevitable early round stoppage I dont think he moves up or back, just stays the same. If that is the case then ya it's impressive in some ways considering how great a fighter and p4p talent Mikey is but at the same time if we are honest and objective then that's what should happen. But if he technically schools him and gives him a boxing lesson I think he shoots into the top 3-4 p4p. It should all depend on how he wins.
