Plant would give canelo problems

Plant needs to work on his stamina, Canelo would be dangerous to the end but Plant proved he does have a chin. It would be a very interesting fight.

 

Plant schools the ginger cow. There are levels to this.

Canelo counters this dude sick just like uz was trying to do between exchanges. You guys are idiots if you think he is going to get away with that fast 1,2 he throws and not get a slip counter right back something uzca was trying to do but was to slow and pulling his punches for whatever reason. In between exchanges plant is there to be counter.

 

Too much too soon. He would fight Canelo 3 months from now after "the best camp of his life" and declaring he is "in the best shape of his life" get utterly outclassed after which he would instantly and by magic be declared "another bum" by 2/3 of this forum.

 

Really impressed with Plant last night but pretty sure Canelo would rip that body apart and break him down for a late stoppage.

 

While I'd be rooting for Plant, I just don't see him beating Canelo at this point in time. And we all know what he'd have to deal with if it went the distance...but I feel like even there, Canelo would legitimately win this one.

 

Don't know enough about Plant to make a judgment really. He's had one top level fight in a weak division. I like 168 as a division so hope to see it on the up and up soon and he looks like he can help that happen so so far so good.

 

Yep...I’ve been a supporter of Plant from his early days but his stamina makes Canelo look like he has the million dollar engine tbh
Plant did okay last night but was badly gassed and hugging it out big time from the 9th-12th. At this point Canelo would plant my boy Plant around the 9th. Canelo is a fast counter puncher and his inside work so very under-rated.

Plant takes a lot of flush punches and has limited stamina. I would be surprised if he could beat Canelo, but he should take the fight if offered because it comes with a much bigger check than a loss to Jesse Hart, Benavidez, or one of the others at 168.

 

He could also slap the **** out of canelo 9-3 and lose a decision and all the canelo fans would say canelo won.
