I must be needing my eyes tested as the gushing over cheeseman is ridiculous imo.

Classic case of a matchroom fighter being lauded as something he is not.

The moment this fool steps up his opposition he will be found out.

    he's already stepped up.

no one is saying he is going to go and beat the charlos/Hurds/Laras of this world, this is just a debate in the context of two prospects facing each other.

Beating a shot to pieces Carson JoneS proves not a lot.

All of his fights haven't been against bums though. Lloyd Ellett in his 7th fight, English title in his 9th, Carson Jones & Paul Upton in under 15 fights isn't bad for a relatively unheralded amateur coming through. I don't think he's going to conquer the world, but i think he could do very, very well domestically and on the european scene

Don't particularly rate Fowler at this stage of his career but I think if and when they do meet he will win. Both Strong boxers, if a little slow.

Fowler is tough so I don't see a stoppage but he is too easy to hit and I think Cheesman would win. Had the tougher tests so far and improving all the time.

The big cheese has too much for Fowler who peaked as an amateur and will disappoint as a pro. He's fought no-one of note yet and stupidly acted as if he's moved faster through the ranks when he's a few years older than Ted and still not reached the level he has in terms of competition.

Cheeseman is the real deal and fowler is overrated imo

Ted would box Fowler’s ears off!

The plan was for the winner of Fowler / Fitzgerald to face Cheeseman, why has Cheeseman changed his tune and wants it further down the line? Fowler clearly wants it...

If true I'd imagine that Eddie has been in his ear talking up the money that it could generate down the line, telling him he's heading the 02 now and if he wins the euro belt he could be knocking on the door for a world title shot which with some big weight cutters in his division and glamour and glory at 160 might see a few 154 belts vacated.

Now whether you agree with the above is up to you but you can see a smarmy promoter telling his young charge not to leave money on the table and 'let it build' or some other ****. Personally I wouldn't bother waiting as I don't rate fowler and think if Cheeseman doesn't beat him then someone else well and nick the credit.

Ted isn't getting past Sergio Garcia, he better focus on the task at hand, and not be looking ahead, Garcia is not the type of guy to do that with.
