Ellerbe that bald rat...LOL. This guy is stopping Gervonta Davis from having a one off fight on DAZN for huge money because he’s **** scared about losing his only valuable fighter.

Ellerbe i’m sure also said Mayweather-Guererro or Mayweather-Maidana one and two or Mayweather-Berto would do more than 1M PLUS. But they didn’t did they ?

If the most popular fighter in America over the last decade struggled to do 1M for the majority of his fights. How can Wilder and Fury ?

No-one wants to hear cringey trash talk which is what Wilder and Fury give you.

Basically said fury won't get 50/50, so doubt there will be a fight.

Anyone asking for 50/50 for a Joshua fight doesn't want the fight.

Anybody who asks for 50 million dollars and then turns it down, doesn't want to fight.

Wilder Fury probably made more than any of Joshuas fights at the box office

I'm not talking about Warren. You're like those old Soviet politicians with whataboutism.

You can argue either way about who deserves what, but how long will it be in untill the general public really start to turn on AJ when /if they start hearing that talk...we already saw that there was a lower demand for the Povetkin fight and no doubt ppv sales decreased.

Let’s not forget, we are a nation who loves to eventually pull down our own public figures. AJ is an unusual case, but if the perception starts to get out there that he is a greedy so and so it wont be good.

They can probably get away with another Wembley show one last time with Whyte (without it being Wilder/Fury in the other corner) but after that no chance.

If they go for Miller in the US, outside of their comfort zone, than the ticket sales at MSG would have to be a massive concern for Eddie. Miller is not in anyway popular at the Box office, and despite being from NY he is unlikely to bring in big sales off his own back. If they don’t eventually sell out this will damage the brand.

People need to realise that the next fight is a major decision for AJ IMO.

    Joshua-Miller doesn't sell 10,000 at the MSG.

AJ is a nobody in the US.

That may well be the case but it doesn't change the fact that fighters seem to be quick to call AJ's name but only seem to want a fight if they get well overpaid. Nobody is fighting for peanuts vs AJ yet some want to talk about 50/50. Beat AJ and then you can demand all you want.

Moot point. Joshua has said the exact same thing about money so he should offer 50/50. Two can play that stupid game

It would sell out. I went in February last year long before Wilder-Fury there was posters of him everywhere. In New York and LA. Don’t underestimate his drawing power. He’s widely regarded as number 1 in the top division in the world. It would draw in crowds, especially against “one of their own”.

Think the reporter has jumped the gun a bit.

Hearn worded it carefully - ‘Fury knows what he can make from this fight’. The implication, to me anyway, was that Wilder and Whyte have had offers whereas with Fury it’s less formal discussion.

I don’t really buy this ‘scared to fight’ narrative - I think Joshua would fight anyone. His team would probably prefer an easier fight than Fury on balance though.

I think the closest you can get to a direct comparison among all parties is that they're all looking to maximise their financial take and that involves playing a risky game for some.

Despite what some think I reckon Joshua has the least to lose. He's now legitimately so big that if he did lose, it simply sets up the narrative to be about his comeback. Plenty of massive names have lost and gone on to remain utterly massive. There are questions about what the biggest fight at heavyweight post-Ali are, but it's almost certain that whatever answer you come up with, both men involved had losses on their record when it happened.

In that sense I don't buy the notion of Hearn being worried about Joshua losing. He'd obviously prefer him to win but it's a long way from game over if he does. But, I imagine he'd like to see Wilder beat Fury, as the latter will always be a big fight as long as it can happen, but the former won't if the belt gets dropped.
