Interesting that you would see Mathis taking 5 rounds....I could swear someone on this forum keeps telling us that Vitali has never lost more than 3,rounds in a fight...I just can’t remember who it was???

One can embrace the facts, or mock them knowing they are true. Which one are you?

Joe Frazier fans hold Mathis Sr in high regards, after all he beat him in the amateurs to earn a spot in the Olympics then gave up the spot to Frazier after a hand injury. After declining the WBA tournament, Frazier met Mathis for the " NY State Title. "

Buster Mathis Sr was lead in the pro fight before slowing down, and being taken out late. Mathis Sr says he hurt Frazier. Did he? As a professional, I can not recall one top ten opponent Buster Mathis sr defeated.

Yes. 6'8 and an iron chin. Who do you think could beat him? LoL come on now. He had at least 5 inches and 25 lbs on most heavies of the past.

Mathis would probably have success early when he is fresh. He was quicker than Vitali. Buster didnt have the dedication and conditioning to sustain it over 12. When fights go awhile and it close and its tough it gets to a point where it has nothing to do with boxing. That is why Mathis never became champion.

The score cards say Vitali never lost more than three rounds in ANY of his pro matches. Vitali fought much better than Mathis sr, who as I said never beat anyone in the top ten.

The sure sure is a retort to a very bad and raised pick.

hardly any champion lost more than 3 rounds when facing below the level of retired middler corrie sanders.

this is a perfect retort to your sure sure.
